You can purchase poppy seeds from Costolot's General Store, or try talking with Seedos to get a poppy seed.

Flower needs to be planted in soil, grass, or long grass.

Use 3 applications of red fertilizer immediately after planting it, for maximum effect.

Eating 2 poppy seeds helps meet the Twingersnap Romance requirements.
Feeding a poppy seed to an Elephanilla or Rashberry changes its color to a red variant.

Eating 1 poppy helps meet the Taffly Romance requirements.
Feeding a poppy to a White Flutterscotch changes its color to a red variant.
Feeding a poppy to a Juicygoose changes its color to a pink and orange variant.
Feeding a gem tree seed, water lily, and a poppy to a Pigxie changes its color to a fuchsia variant.
