Images

Hey love evil! Thank you for working to fill in missing images on the Classic tabs.

Originally considering having different images for different games, I think there are advantages in general for using PV images vs. screenshots.

Your Windows screen captures are nicer than most, and your efforts are definitely appreciated, but I'm just giving you a heads up that PV images will probably replace Classic screenshots. Thanks again for your help! --FeralKitty (talk) 18:17, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Links

To help readability, we try to avoid repeatedly linking to the same article after the first nearby link. Thanks for continuing to modernize the pics with PV images! --FeralKitty (talk) 23:05, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Ooops, ok cheers for the link. Sorry if my edit's are making more work for you. (Loveevil-7649 10:44, 15 October 2009 (UTC))

Answers for your questions

Good questions! I'm moving the discussion here, so Jimmcq, ImaTest, or others can contribute any thoughts.

  • Since Just for Fun has no romancing minigame, it's not possible to get wildcards in that mode. If a species' JfF page still happened to mention wildcards, it was probably overlooked when we went through and removed that section.
  • Pocket Paradise species don't have unique attacks, so their attack= should be left blank (or omitted completely) from that Infobox. As for the romance video, we generally hadn't been adding the videos to that Infobox. I don't think there's a specific reason either way. Do we need to embed the same video a third time, especially since it portrays a much higher-quality clip that's definitely not from the handheld? Tough call, since we use TiP images for the species, variants, and houses and they're clearly not from Pocket Paradise either.

I've often felt the Infoboxes are too "tall" as is, sometimes taking more vertical space than the species content. I'd probably lean towards less detail and continue to omit the romance dance video from Pocket Paradise and Just for Fun mode, but will go along with what the others think.

As for your edits, they're very helpful, and you're definitely a valued contributor! Thanks again for your help in updating the wiki! --FeralKitty (talk) 16:19, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

I have always removed WCs from JfF mode when I saw them and WC directions from TiP tabs too. As far as the video on PP I wouldn't bother with it just because like FK says it is on the other tabs.
As in case you hadn't noticed already the Trees don't get Fertilizer so I have been omitting that section from the article when I see it and it should already have N/A in the infobox.
Thanks for putting the PV in the other tabs, too. It makes it easier for me to keep track of what I need to delete as far as dup images :) ImaTestWentBad 18:11, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Okies will keep that in mind when I carry on. Thanks both for the clarification. :) --Loveevil-7649 10:52, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Have gone into jff garden today to find something out and have now noted that the romance requirements are a lil different too, the pinata just need a house.--Loveevil-7649 20:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Yep, this is true. All the requirements are simplified. Compared to Standard, specific requirements either call for fewer items, or simply aren't needed in for Just for Fun. --FeralKitty (talk) 21:03, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
