Template talk:Edit section
From PinataIsland.info, the Viva Piñata wiki
I still don't like the idea of having to hardcode in the section number, but I think this could work well for the Species articles that are getting a little too cumbersome too edit the entire thing at once. Thoughts? --Jimmcq 15:10, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- I poured over http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words and didn't see any way to get the section number to come thru with a magic word. In theory most article's section numbers won't change much, especially the species and the plants, so I agree that using them in those cases at least is probably a good idea. –xenocidic (talk) 15:31, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- Classic sections would probably rarely change, but all the new game tabs have optional sections shown at this point. I'm not keen on having to maintain section numbers for 80x2 species occurrences, and wouldn't want to see it be a site-wide maintenance thing. Why not contact the extension author, and see if there could be a procedural way to obtain the section number and/or edit on a per-tab basis? --FeralKitty (talk) 18:31, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
