Happiness tips

Removed tip about specific item/species accessory combo, since this is most likely the generic happiness boost that any species gets from any accessory:

• Buying Headphones and Disco Shades accessories make the Pretztail significantly happier.

If anyone has time and chocolate coins to test out various item/species combinations, to see if there's any actual basis to such a tip, please feel free to share your results. --FeralKitty 23:58, 28 March 2008 (EDT)

I have done that with my Pretztail Smaulie and it seems to make it significally happier. Has anybody else have something different. --pinataFan626001.

There's no comparison to show that those items make your Pretztail significantly happier than other species or other accessories. Perhaps that's merely the normal happiness gain that any species would get from those/any two accessory items? If that's so, then the tip isn't specific to Pretztails.

If you want to experiment, try something like this: Please take a Pretztail and record its starting happiness, then buy those two items for it, and record how much its happiness increased. Now please buy the same two items for another species (with the same starting happiness), and see if that species gains the same amount of happiness (i.e. not specific to Pretztails). Then please buy a different Pretztail two different head/eye accessories and see if the happiness increase is just as significant (i.e. not specific to headphones/shades). Now, please post your findings.

Image sizes for Pinata vision cards in the wildcards and variants

75px is way too small imo, you can't even make out what the thing is (at 1280x1024) - this is because the Mediawiki applies the size paramater to the longest axis, and PV cards being rectangular it renders too small. How about 200 px? Fits nicely on 1024x768. Example. –xenocidic (talk) 14:07, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Yep, I understand that it constrains the width, in this case. 200px will force the browser to render the table below the Infobox, and that was something we wanted to avoid (as well as horizontal scroll bars, "crowding" the text content from the left and right, or making the article artificially long, by stacking images vertically). Jim and I had a long discussion about this, while experimenting with different PV card layout options, but you're welcome to reopen the topic with him. It's not optimum but the least "troublesome" choice of what we tried, layout-wise. For the variant colors and wildcard versions (as well as scanning the Infobox bar codes), people are probably going to have to click to see the better-quality image. --FeralKitty (talk) 14:52, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
