Accessories

Template:Main You can buy accessories for your piñata from the Paper Pets store.

Currency

Currency.gif

The currency of the game is foil-wrapped chocolate coins. You can get currency by smashing ruined garden pieces, or by trading in your piñata. You may also sell resources that are produced, such as apples from an apple tree, or possibly even a Buzzlegum's honey. Another resource that you can obtain and sell is candy from a broken piñata. Be careful about smashing them open yourself, however, because there will be consequences. (Also a piñata is worth more, when traded, than you'd get by breaking it open and selling its candy.)

You need to pay helpers with chocolate coins in order to keep them happy, and if they're not satisfied, they'll walk off the job. Currency can also be used to buy new things for your piñata or garden from the shop. It should be noted that there are bronze coins, worth one coin in itself, silver coins, which are worth 5 times a bronze coin, gold coins, worth 10 times a bronze coin, and finally large gold coins the most valuable, worth 50 times a bronze coin.

Plants

Template:Main All plants have some use, either to impress a piñata enough to live or romance in your garden, or to be transformed into something else.

Piñata

In the general sense, a piñata is a bright candy-and-toy-filled container (generally suspended on a rope from a tree branch or ceiling) that is used during celebrations. A succession of blindfolded, stick-wielding children try to break the piñata in order to collect the candy inside of it. It has been used for hundreds of years to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas.

In the world of Viva Piñata, they start out living the sweet life filling up with candy and other treats. Once they reach maximum candiosity, piñatas are called to duty and dispatched via cannoñata from the island to delight fun-lovers everywhere... in the traditional piñata way (bashed open by bat-wielding revelers!)

Then they head back to Piñata Island to do it all over again!

There are 60 Piñata species to raise and collect!

Seeds

You can plant seeds to grow plants. All plants have a specific seed. Seedos is the one that usually gives you your first seed of any type, after which, they become available for purchase in Costolot's Store.

When Seedos hands you a seed you have never grown before, it shows up as a mystery seed. However, once you have grown one plant of that type, they show up as normal, named seeds.
