The Twin information has not been validated yet, but it has been added as such. That was the reason for the "news journal" type style, and keep in mind it was at most temporary until conrete proof had been gathered.

But hey it's up to you. --Dhakkel 11:57, 5 January 2007 (EST)

If something is temporary then we should keep it on the talk page, or better yet, the forums. I've seen enough about Twin Value to go with what is there now, and we can add more details as they're confirmed. --Jimmcq 12:13, 5 January 2007 (EST)

I posted the pictures of the Pinata value screen here : http://www.vivapinataforum.com/showthread.php?t=3656&page=4 When a twin gose to a party, both the base and twin value will increase. It appears that the Twin value is 50% of the base value of the pinata.--LordRavenBlack 00:19, 6 January 2007 (EST)

Recent posts on the forum seem to indicate that you do not get a cut scene when you receive twins. See: http://www.vivapinataforum.com/showthread.php?t=5301&highlight=twins

TiP Value

  • There's a lot of miscellaneous value information specific to TiP (WC = 10x base value, Twins = +50% of base, Tricks = +50% of total value for each trick learned, the cutoff point for "superstar" status, etc.) Does it make more sense to mix this info into the current article, put it someplace else, or to tab this?
The article should definitely get tabbed, so it's easy to distinguish between Classic and TiP information. --FeralKitty (talk) 06:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Comments on pinata value section

This seemed to be a mix of tips and details. The information is very helpful, but some of the details should probably be incorporated into above article sections, instead of being "footnotes" for other sections. I retitled the section as tips to give the new section a unified style/focus, and commented out a few points that didn't "fit" within that heading, as currently written. Since you did all this research and have a better understanding of the details, it might be more accurate if you rephrase or merge things? Also, would you describe this hidden percentage bonus as a (separately-tracked) competition bonus, just as there's a hidden egg bonus, etc.?

I am confused about the following bullet's second sentence:

  • Placing higher in a competition's standings earns a better hidden bonus percentage increase. The amount added to the total value is less and less the more parties and races you play.

First you talk about the hidden bonus percentage, then you talk about parties and races. Parties don't increase the bonus percentage, but the more parties you attend, the amount that gets added to the total should be increasing, not becoming less and less, if the competition bonus is a straight percentage. Perhaps you meant the per-race percentage increase diminishes?

Again, information like this belongs on the wiki, especially since these details weren't known before -- thanks for the contribution! --FeralKitty (talk) 00:08, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Values tables

Hello, Do you all think it would be helpful to just put the tables from my user page on this page? Or would those pages be confusing to people? I understand what I wrote, but do you think others will? Let me know what you think and I will post it hear when I complete the pages--ImaTestWentBad 02:29, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

I think the tables are helpful -- nice job on them! -- but I also think it might be confusing to incorporate them into the article. I think a good compromise might be to add a link to that user page article. This way, the value article itself can remain in a simpler form, but visitors who want more details can follow the link.
I'd like to know more about the hidden bonuses. From what I'm reading here, it sounds like the per-race competition percentages diminish as you compete more, but what do the cumulative percentages work out to? I was hoping that Lymaniii would add more details for the values. Do you happen to have any plans to do a #competitions table, showing the hidden bonus percentage for coming in first, for 1-10 races?
Also, I assume a pinata's total value is independent of the order in which its hidden bonus value was raised? I.e., sending to 10 parties then 1 race is the same as sending to 1 race then 10 parties, or to 5 parties, 1 race, and 5 more parties.
You both have been uncovering lots of interesting information about the game, and I'm hoping it can be featured more prominently somehow! --FeralKitty (talk) 03:31, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
I know Lymaniii was crunching some numbers the last time we spoke, so hopefully he will post those findings soon. Next I DO want to find out the competition values, for both games. I am very excited to find out if it's the same outcome in which ever order races/parties are done in. Also, if it will make a difference when racing or showing a pinata, who is already at a party. (I have been told this creates higher values, but never really noticed it so) It's good down time fun for me when the baby is not fussy! Once I finish the page I will post a link from this one to mine in case anyone is interested. Great! Now lets us see what we can find out!!!!--ImaTestWentBad 06:02, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
