You can purchase prickly pear seeds from Costolot's General Store, use your seed pouch, or try talking with Seedos to get a prickly pear seed. Smashing a sour pinata with your shovel may cause this weed to sprout.
This is a nasty little plant. Not only does it have horrid spines, but it will confuse any Piñata that eats it.
Surface terrain requirements
Weed needs to be planted in mud, grass, long grass, soil, sand and snow.
Note: Weeds are more likely to plant themselves and require no watering.
