You can purchase chili seeds or chilies from Costolot's General Store, or try talking with Seedos to get a chili seed.
Chilies share their color with fire engines. The engine is famous for stopping fires, while the chili will start one in the mouth of anything that is brave or foolish enough to eat it.
Surface requirements
- Plant needs to be planted in grass or soil.
How best to grow it
Use 3 applications of red fertilizer immediately after planting it, for maximum effect.
Uses
Chili seed uses
- Feeding a chili seed to a Sherbat, Horstachio or Cinnamonkey changes its color to a red variant.
Chili uses
- Chilies can be sold for 100 chocolate coins.
- Eating 2 chilies helps meet the Elephanilla Romance requirements.
- Eating 3 chilies helps meet the Reddhott Romance requirements.
- Feeding a chili to a Cinnamonkey or Fudgehog changes its color to a red variant.
- Feeding a chili to a Newtgat causes it to evolve into a Salamango.
Rotten chili uses
- Eating 1 rotten chili helps meet the Rashberry Romance requirements.
Note: Tapping on a chili will turn it rotten.
Gameplay Tip: One strategy for making money is to grow produce. One of the best is the Chili pepper because its seeds only cost 22 coins and each sells for 100 coins. For even more profit, put the plants in tight bunches and use red fertilizer on each group up to three times to raise the value of the pepper to 400 coins.
Other information
- Chilies cannot be transformed.
