− | ::Well great, I like the links also. It was right from the game, but I do agree about the caps mid-sentence. They aren't as smooth to read. Help me understand a bit more about 'camelcase'. That means that they are not using regular capitalization. Is this the only thing that it means? I would like to eventually have the journal with all of sub-parts in the wiki. One of the reasons I started with this particular one (How to:) is because I was doing a search for journal and found that this one was a red link. Also Leafos log was one I started. This article needs to have more content like you say and it would be link-worthy... Not just in-game descriptions. Then I suppose the name 'How to' would be fitting. As for the TiP tab, I was going to ask you that same question. I think that's a great idea, because the content is different from Classic, JFF and VP for Windows. Thanks for that. --ImaTestWentBad 03:12, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Left some caps still on for the Bouncer Board, Candiosity and Pinata Vision for working links. + | :::Pinata Vision seems to be a proper name for the technology, and it makes sense to continue to capitalize it, either in an article title or within a sentence. Candiosity should only be capitalized within a sentence, if we're talking about the TV episode. Otherwise, it's more of a stat, like age or accessory value, which we don't capitalize. I'd probably lean towards bouncer board -- it's more of a tool/object, like a crate or signpost. If you think that makes sense, and you want to link it as lowercase, it's not a big deal to move (rename) that article, since this article is the only one that links to it. --FeralKitty (talk) 07:12, 15 May 2009 (UTC) |
Revision as of 00:12, 15 May 2009
My chart seems dry and boring with lots of spaces. Do you think I am a little bit overzealous with the links? It's just completely informational, directly from the in-game descriptions. I suppose it's destine to be blah --ImaTestWentBad 00:22, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, I don't think you've overzealous with links. I'd probably add a few more links to other articles within the descriptions.
- It does help readability to not capitalize (words like pinata, tool names, or grass packets) mid-sentence. Also we're trying to move away from camelcase article names. Many of the older articles do capitalize each title word, but more recent article titles use normal sentence capitalization.
- Thanks for taking the time to add this! I think the article title is general enough, that we might end up adding links to similar articles, for visitors who are looking for other than in-game tips. Do you have any ideas about how you'd add that to this page? Also, what do you think about giving the article a Trouble in Paradise tab?
- Thanks again! Nice progress! --FeralKitty (talk) 01:15, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

- Left some caps still on for the Bouncer Board, Candiosity and Pinata Vision for working links. Should they be uncapped? --ImaTestWentBad 03:50, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Pinata Vision seems to be a proper name for the technology, and it makes sense to continue to capitalize it, either in an article title or within a sentence. Candiosity should only be capitalized within a sentence, if we're talking about the TV episode. Otherwise, it's more of a stat, like age or accessory value, which we don't capitalize. I'd probably lean towards bouncer board -- it's more of a tool/object, like a crate or signpost.
