About LTAcosta

  • LTAcosta has been a gamer the majority of his life. As a young boy he often played arcade style games on his fathers old Amega. As time progressed, and technology increases, he began to play PC games. He tended to stay toward strategy games like Warcraft and later Starcraft. He also owned his first gaming console which was a Super Nintendo. Even though he periodically purchases new games, the number one game he played was Super Mario World. While visiting his cousins, he was able to play Duck Hunt and Super Mario Brothers on the original Nintendo. He also played Sonic the Hedge Hog on the Sega Genesis. When the new era of gaming emerged, his neighbor purchased a Dreamcast and a Playstation. LTAcosta spent countless hours next door playing games that he and his neighbor had downloaded off the internet to play in their modded consoles. The years that followed showed a rapid decline in his console gaming, when he began to play handheld Gameboys. It wasn't until the original Xbox, that he wanted to play a new console. His birthday immediatly following the launch was when he received his console, and started gamng again. After a collection of about 20 games, LTAcosta heard of Xbox Live. He was skeptical at joining at first, because he wasn't sure if he would like the service. LTAcosta has been a member of the Xbox Live since the launch of Halo 2 on the original Xbox console. He continued gaming online and offline on this console until 2005. In 2005, LTAcosta purchased the new Xbox 360. He began his collection of games with 7 of the initial launch titles, and continued to purchase new games regularly. Now he owns and plays around 50 different titles among a few different gamer tags. At Christmas of 2006, LTAcosta was given Viva Pinata. He wasn't too thrilled, because of what he had heard he thought this was just a childrens game.

LTAcosta and Viva Pinata

  • LTAcosta began playing the game at Christmas of 2006. At first he wasn't quite sure he liked the concept, be he soon became a little addicted. After playing a couple of hours each day, he eventually reached level 35 and had earned many of the acheivements. At this time he became heavily into Gears of War and other large titles. Viva pinata sat untouched for several months. In August of 2007, LTAcosta finally decided to play Viva Pinata again. He now realized there was a whole community of gamers who loved the game, and that there was a large economy of trading pinatas. This added a new aspect to the game that LTAcosta loved. He just recently reached his 50th Lvl, and is only 5 acheivements away from having them all. He currently sells crates of whirlm egges on PinataIsland.info's forums for about 15,000-20,000 chocolate coins per crate of 5 eggs. He will continue to play Viva Pinata until he has completed every part of the game possible. Hopefully by this time, there will be an expansion pack of some sort to keep him further interested.

  • Pinata Checklist - This tool is used to have a hardcopy of all the Pinata awards. By printing this out you can easily see what you can do to raise your level without having to continually check your journal. Just remember to update the list as you complete things.

Behind the Game

  • Aside from gaming LTAcosta has a fairly busy schedule. He is a junior in highschool and is taking 4 AP classes (College Level Courses). Since each one of these classes assigns around an hour of homework per night, he hardly has time for gaming during the week. As a whole, LTAcosta has a very busy schedule that takes a lot of planning in order to make time for gaming.

Gamertag

  • LTAcosta's gamertag has a fairly simple explanation if you look at it in the right way. L, T, and A being capitalized shows that they are important letters, and each refers to the beginning of a word. L represents his first initial. T represents his middle initial. Finally A is the first letter of his last name which is Acosta. When reading his gamer tag it is read L. T. Acosta. For short people on Xbox Live often just call him LT, and on games like Rainbow Six, he puts LT or LTA as his 3 letter tag.
