Category talk:Gameplay
We've got a few new items being mentioned on the forums, that Ivor sells from his shop. Some of them, like the pirate sword that scares away Ruffians, are placable in your garden. Should they go directly into this category (or in a sub-category)? Do they get their own page or should we explain them all on one page? (Ivor's Shop page probably wouldn't be a good page to use, since having "Ivor's Shop" in the Garden Piece category would be weird.) --FeralKitty 14:57, 13 November 2006 (EST)
Ivor sells a wide variety of items. Some of them are upgrades, some are garden items, one is even fertilizer! I don't think every item in the game warrents its own page (Seeds, flowers and fruit are being consolidated to a single plant page), but it would be good to hammer out some organization. It would seem logical to put information (description, effect, level, price) for each item on some sort of Ivor's Shop page. Categorically I don't think individual items should fit under Gameplay.
Ivor's Shop probably shouldn't go into Garden Pieces, true. Perhaps an entire Shops category is in order? I'd like to make pages for each of the shops with info on when they appear and what they sell. --Pure 15:13, 13 November 2006 (EST)
Agree. I think each Service Provider (shop) needs it own page with details on what they sell and/or what services they provide. --Jimmcq 15:21, 13 November 2006 (EST)
Feel free to start working on new Shop pages. Once everything is ready, we can decide on the specific category name, and relink/redirect everything else to the new pages. I'd suggest working on one page first, to get the formatting in order, then when it's finalized, you can use that as a model for the other pages. If you have any specific format (tables, or whatever) questions, please feel free to PM me on the forums.
(OOPS! I just realized I wrote this on the wrong category's discussion page. The sword question had to do with being a Category:Garden Piece item. --FeralKitty 15:29, 13 November 2006 (EST)
