Helpers are characters that are available to assist with some of the jobs that keeping a garden entails. You can have up to five helpers active in your garden at once.
For example one character, Weedling, weeds the garden. If you don't want to spend time getting rid of the weeds because you'd rather spend time with your piñatas, then you can hire a weeder and she'll try her best to do the job for you. Others include Sprinkling, Watchling, Gatherling and Diggerling.
You need to pay them with chocolate coins in order to keep them happy, and if they're not satisfied they'll walk off the job.
Using Helpers is optional, so you can play it the way that you like, from the start, a helper is already located in the garden, her name is Leafos.
Leafos will help by giving you some basic tools, and explaining how to use them. She also gives advice near the beginning of the game.
Seedos, a helper who specializes in seeds, will offer you a seed almost every time you talk with him.
After your piñatas perform their Romance Dance, an egg is delivered by a helper named Storkos.
There is a witchdoctor named Dastardos who puts sick piñatas out of their misery with a big stick.
Helpers can also run shops, such as Willy Builder's housing shop.
All the helpers have had their looks inspired by the masks of the Mayans, Aztecs and Toltecs, to give them a Mexican look.
