[[Xbox Live]] is a subscription-based online gaming service for [[Microsoft]]'s Xbox and [[Xbox 360]] video game consoles. There are two tiers of service, Silver and Gold. Anyone with an X-Box 360 automatically has access to Live Silver which allows you to download extra game content, demos, gamer pictures, patches and more. Access to Live Gold requires the payment of a subscription fee - approximately £39.99 per year - and enables users to play online games against each other. Also some content such as demos has, more recently, been released to Gold subscribers first and then to Silver users some time later.

Xbox Live is a subscription-based online gaming service for Microsoft's Xbox and Xbox 360 video game consoles. There are two tiers of service, Silver and Gold. Anyone with an X-Box 360 automatically has access to Live Silver which allows you to download extra game content, demos, gamer pictures, patches and more. Access to Live Gold requires the payment of a subscription fee - approximately £39.99 per year (US $49.99)- and enables users to play online games against each other. Also some content such as demos has, more recently, been released to Gold subscribers first and then to Silver users some time later.

In Viva Piñata it is possible to exchange and send Pinata as presents, to and from other player's gardens and they can then interact with that person's game and Piñata. They'll feature a tag that contains all the individual and unique data about who it is and where it’s from. This is enhanced by the ability to customise any of your Piñata with items and accessories acquired from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Like a lot of 360 downloadable content, these items must be purchased with X-Box Live points, which are in turn purchased with real money.

Basically anything you see in the game can be packed up into a crate and shipped over Xbox Live. You do not need X-Box Live Gold in order to do this, just a broadband internet connection.

Via the Xbox Live online community, players can contact other gamers to lend a hand, lay down a competitive challenge or trade items.

The only online option available from launch will be the ability to trade pinatas with other people, but with an online update after release you will be able to visit the gardens of other players and invite vistors to yours.
