Initial version

Order and wording will be revised as we get a better feel for the UI and gameplay. Please feel free to discuss any improvements here. --FeralKitty 07:44, 5 September 2006 (EDT)

WOW! Very nice... I don't know if it needs to get to the level of listing out every plant and every cast member, etc. On the one hand a true sitemap could list every page, but if it did then it will become very difficult to maintain. I'm thinking that we may want to keep it to the main/structural pages and not list every individual article.

Eventually there will need to be a main heading on there for merchandise... but we don't really know anything about the merchandise (other than the Xbox 360 game itself and the faceplate) --Jimmcq 12:08, 5 September 2006 (EDT)

If you want an 'all pages' list, you can click on 'Special Pages' on the toolbox and it will be under there. But it would be hard to direct the visitors there. --Ramen

Thanks! I agree about not listing every page, and keeping it as more of a directory. For example, I'm not including the 60+ individual species, or each TV episode. I've already been thinking about dropping the "bushes and trees, plants, ..." line later tonight. Should we drop the Beatrice ... Ruffians part of the Cast? Drop Fergy ... The Bonboon too?

My next project that I'll start working on later this week is a FAQ for the game. It will help to keep the game side of the site map a bit more general.

I did get Merchandise on there... Do you want it to be bordered? --FeralKitty 17:26, 5 September 2006 (EDT)

For cast members I think maybe we should keep the big recurring characters on there, but not the minor characters that only make a single (or very rare) appearance. Maybe limit it to the ones listed on the Voice Cast page. Since they are actually the ones listed in the credits, I'm sure they'll get the most airtime.

Yes a FAQ would be great... I had always planned on adding one, but never really decided on the format.

I don't think that Merchandise needs to be bordered *yet*... but maybe eventually. Overall I had always kind of envisioned everything on the site being divided into three distinct categories: Xbox 360 Game, Televsion Series, and Merchandise. Obviously some stuff may fall into more than one (or even none) of those, but I think those three make sense from a high-level perspective.

My only other comment is that we probably need to add a little more color to the Site Map. As I'm sure you've seen me mention elsewhere I'm trying to keep a vibrant, colorful, Viva-Pinata-feel to the site without having the colors be obnoxious and distracting. They don't have to be pastel, but I'd prefer a lighter/subtler version of the vivapinata.com scheme.

Keep up the great work! --Jimmcq 19:18, 5 September 2006 (EDT)

Sounds good, I'll make those site map changes later tonight -- just got home from work.

Here's an example of a FAQ from an Xbox forum that I wrote. Since this one will be hosted here, I'll be able to add all the usual wiki formatting to make one that's a bit nicer looking and functional, but if that general format is acceptable to you, I'll start working on outlining what the sections and questions might be.

As for the colors, one of the to-do things I haven't gotten to yet is to take a look at the style sheets for the site, and switch over to using classes, so information like colors aren't hardcoded on multiple pages. This way, you'll easily be able to make style adjustments from one central place. I'll take a look around at the other site, and see if we can come up with color scheme that we can use. --FeralKitty 21:48, 5 September 2006 (EDT)

That format is great. If you need any classes added to the stylesheets, just let me know (or better yet email me) and I'll add them ASAP. --Jimmcq 22:10, 5 September 2006 (EDT)
