Episode Number vs. Segment Number

We may need to clear up some terminology. I think we've established that each complete episode consists of two 10 minute segments. The segment numbers (for the 39 we currently have listed) are correct and came from an official source.

NOTE: The segment numbers seem to sync up with the numbers shown on in the polls at

For example the current question reads "Viva Pinta #107: What kind of legs does Fergy get?" this is referring to the "[Legs]]" episode which we have listed as Segment Number 007. So far the first seven 'episodes' have all matched. This may eventually help us get the 'official' segment numbers past 40 if we don't get them elsewhere before then.

A confusing bit is that only lists episode numbers. These seem to go sequentially in broadcast order, but going by that "Horstachio of a Different Color" is part of both Episode 103 and Episode 106 so I don't know what to make of it.

I'm not sure why any of this really matters... I'm just trying to keep the numbering as 'official' as possible.

I'm in the Band

It appears that the "I'm in the Band" episode has been renamed to "On a Sour Note". --Jimmcq 16:36, 8 November 2006 (EST)

The episode numbers are not in proper order

Sorry if this was already discussed, but... the episode numbers are not in an proper order. Like, the first and second episodes should be listed at the top. Then coming 3rd, 4th, 5th... etc. They're just, randomly mixed up and not very organized like that. And it gets a little confusing.... sorry. Crystal frizzlybear 23:52, 2 December 2006 (EST)

They are sorted in Segment order. See the "Episode Number vs. Segment Number" above. --Jimmcq 11:56, 3 December 2006 (EST)

Segment numbers are how many minutes right? What? Segment numbers vs Episode? I still say the order should be episode number, because.. the segment numbers don't make it orderly. Crystal frizzlybear 14:07, 3 December 2006 (EST)

I think it should be put in the order that it aired. -- Ramen 21:32, 3 December 2006 (EST)

The current ordering is the official production order, and probably the order that they were meant to be aired in (although obviously they were aired in a different order). It is also probably the order that they will appear on the any possible future DVD release. (and no, there has been no confirmation of a DVD release yet) --Jimmcq 15:05, 5 December 2006 (EST)

But Candiosity DID came first.

I don't get this ONE bit. When I watched the first episode of Viva Pinata over here on YTV, Candiosity came first before Cocoadile Tears. And since this site had gotten it mixed up, I simply changed their numbers around.. but then someone restored it to the original. WHY? Candiosity DID came first, I saw it with my own eyes. Ask anybody. But I just want to know why I am not allowed to say that Candiosity came first. Crystal frizzlybear

It may have been in that order on the day you saw, but it wasn't on the day it originally aired: 8/26/06. --Jimmcq 17:59, 6 January 2007 (EST)

Vids not working

I followed a link from the forums to here. It looks like the videos from this user User:PINATAcast have been removed and they not longer play. Is there a way to all the dead links from the same user at once or does one have to got through and remove one at a time? Thanks for your help --ImaTestWentBad 18:10, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Not really. You could edit the infobox template, and comment out the table rows, so videos don't show up on any episode pages, but it would be better to edit each article's infobox details to point to any replacement video. --FeralKitty (talk) 19:41, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
