In your research have you found any difference between long grass and short grass (i.e. long grass always produces a mane, but short grass produces a dragonache without a mane)? --Jimmcq 21:20, 25 February 2007 (EST)

Grass is a tough one in general.  I've found that if you hatch your egg on grass that's already in the garden at the start (near the Tower of Sour, for example) you don't get a green DragonacheI have one that's brown and my notes say the other one was gold, but I need to double check.

I do have a green one hatched in short grass with a mane.  3 hatched in short grass without manes.  I'm currently trying to get a non-green one without a mane, but I haven't seen one yet (out of about 14 non-green dragonache).

Teker, I just thought you should know I bought a mine and 3 Lantern O' Loots and 2 Diggerlings and I found the Dragonache egg in 2 days, I did this 3 times all with the same result. I tell you this because I noticed you had 22 days without no Lanterns at all, so I thought it might help your investigation.

Thanks for the info. I've used 10 lanterns on previous gardens but haven't kept detailed results. I suspect they speed things up.  Right now I'm trying to build baseline numbers.  I'm working on a mine now with no candaries and no lanterns.

Do you have any pictures of your new Dragonache?  I'd like to compare teeth, mane, spine, wings, and tail.  I added my green one (TG2) to my list today.  It had tail fins I hadn't seen before. -- Teker0 22:32, 11 February 2007 (EST)

Ya I'll go get some pictures right now, but I'm not sure if they will come out good, most of the pictures I've taken of the game so far are kinda fuzzy.

Teker, I have looked at your user page and have noticed that you have some errors, for instance under Spinal Fins you say TG10 is Brown but under most of the other parts you say TG10 is Green, not to be critical or hypocritical but you might want to edit your research a bit.

P.S. I just made two new gardens, I plan to have one with a brown Dragonache and one with a Green Dragonache (hopefully I get the one with a mane this time) do you want me to use some different variables and record the produce?

I'd be interested to know if 1 lantern makes much difference to 0. I'm going to try to complete my miner-only mine tonight.

Well I'm still working on getting some of the pictures... THE DRAGONACHE NEVER STOPS MOVING! and at night its too dark to take the pictures... But anyways I did notice a difference; one of them had circles running down its spine the other had kind of football shaped ones, and I think the tails might have been a bit different... Well I will get the rest of the pics as soon as possible.

The colors listed under the dragonache features are not the colors of my dragonache. They are the colors of the dragonache in the wiki. I put them in there for placeholders and so people can look at pictures of the features.

Teker, I'm sorry bout the hold-up I have been on vacation so I still dont have the pictures but I'm gonna get them as soon as possible. Also I forget who but in the Dragonache talk page someone mentioned maybe the type of cluckles you hatch the egg with effects what it turns out to be... perhaps Cluckles variants can effect it... I think its worth considering.

That's ok.  Talking with jimmcq, he indicated that the bandwidth for the site is pretty expensive so I think I'm going to hold off on making an album.  I have enough Dragonache now (15) that I'm getting a pretty good idea of the feature combos.  --Teker0 23:50, 24 February 2007 (EST)

I sent 2 candaries into 1 mine with 1 diggerling.  The first was blue, and it spent an entire shift flying around and around the mine, never landing, until the diggerling showed up the next morning. The second is yellow. Now, they both enter the mine when the diggerling shows up in the morning, and they both fly out in the evening. --celestial nav 09:50, 27 February 2007 (EST)

So you've had more canadaries in the mine than miners?  Whenever I saw this, the extra candary would fly back out.  --Teker0 09:57, 27 February 2007 (EST)

Candaries in the mine

I sent 2 candaries into 1 mine with 1 diggerling. The first was blue, and it spent an entire shift flying around and around the mine, never landing, until the diggerling showed up the next morning. The second is yellow. Now, they both enter the mine when the diggerling shows up in the morning, and they both fly out in the evening. --celestial nav 09:50, 27 February 2007 (EST)

Cluckles

My friend suggested to me recently the using a variant cluckles affects the out come. Have you tested this enough to know if it is true or not?
