Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero 3

Which muscial/rhythm game do you prefer? Guitar Hero 3 or Rock Band?

That's a tough one, but I have to choose Rock Band. Being able to play with Guitar, Drums, and Singing is much better than just a guitar.

So, you see my dilemna. There's some other miscellanious stuff for both sides (GH Hammer-ons and Pull-offs are easier than RB) but yeah...

What? The RB guitar is way better than the Guitar Hero 3 one, which broke in a matter of days in my case. The slightly more realistic design, that thing that lets you modify the sound when you use star power and two sets of frets! TWO!

Anyways, I'll go with RB simply because blaming someone else in your band when you fail a song is awesome.

lol! I voted RB just because I like drums, but I hate the RB guitar...and it's for these reasons:

The strap is itchy and uncomfortable
I always accidentaly hit the back button and accidentally trigger star power with the whammy bar (Because of where it's positioned and the fact the it hits the guitar)
The buttons feel so strange for some reason
I can never reach the solo buttons quick enough
And most importantly....
THE STRUM BAR DOESN'T CLICK!!!!! When you strum, the strum bar doesn't make the clicking sound, which scrues me!

I guess I'm the only person who cares more for Guitar Hero 3?
Well, okay.
I dislike Rock Band quite a bit.
It is just so boring to me. I never finished any of the careers because it bored me to tears.
Whereas for GH, I can't put it down.
The additional instruments for Rock Band, sure, they are nice, but... I don't like them much.
And, I agree with taneer, I can't stand the RB guitar.
Admittedly, I don't have a GH3 one -- just my GH2 one -- but I loathe the RB guitar with a passion.
It just doesn't feel right to play it.
Also, for me... the setlist for Rock Band, with the exception of a few songs, is far inferior to GH3's.
(Of course, I have no access to DLC, so I cannot give an opinion on that.)
Can't say I care for the character customization in Rock Band either.
Give me the characters from the GH franchise any day!

Well, I agree that the GH setlist was far better than the RB setlist, but the DLC for GH3 sucked. The DLC for RB on the other hand, is awesome. There may be a list somewhere is you google it.

I would say that RB Guitar career is...pathetic (The songs are so easy)...and the graphics for it suck, but overall I enjoy the drums, and there are a few choice songs on RB that I like. I would say that RB, while not having as good a setlist, has gotten me into a lot of music. I prefer the RB system for charries though, but I wish they would throw in some default charries like in GH. I can tell they rushed that aspect of the game.

me: well, duh. (for fs sake you get velvet revolver on gh3, and foo fighters, and now gnr, and a ton of other crap for their dlc! i think rock bands dlc suks period.)
