Guitar Hero II

Is anyone out there planning on getting Guitar Hero II for the X360 or has it for the PS2? I sent my pre-order for the game today. I played it at Virgin MegaStore and got obsessed with it. I can't wait till it comes out! Does anyone else feel the same way?

Have you played any of the other versions before? I'm pretty bad, except for one song. I forget what it's called at the moment, but it goes:
Mama's alright
Dad's alright
We're all alright!
...That song...lol
OH! It's called Surrender!

Heh, I was playing this game today, but only on PS2. In my humble opinion, I believe this is one of the best games currently out for the PS2. I try to play on hard, but I can only do a few songs such as SPOILERS(?) Beast and the Harlot, Surrender, Killing in the Name, Woman, and sometimes YYZ, and Laid to Rest. /SPOILERS(?). Recently though, my memory card malfunctioned and I can't load any of my songs. It stinks, so no I have to beat every song in order without turning it off if I want to play my favorite songs. Oh well, I still think this game is amazing and I plan on getting it for the 360.

Man Cloud, that sucks. You should just get a new memory card shouldn't you?

The local Best Buys around my area have the demo for the 360 in the store. Me and Walter were playing it yesterday.

The neck on the 360 controller is a lot shorter compared to the ps2 version. The wammy bar is also a lot shorter and it makes it really hard to wammy anything without accidently strumming.

Good old Walter and I rock out a good 2-3 times a week on the ps2. We both play expert regularly and dabble a little bit in the hard scene, but not too much.

In my opinion this is the one game in my collection that has the highest re-play value by far.

Since I didn't play the ps2 version much I think I will be able to adjust to the neck and whammy bar =)

I'm glad you like the game Jamal. That just makes me want it more!

I kinda wanna try it out, but I don't wanna get it for PS2 since I have a 360, and they can't really release a demo since you need that controller in the shape of a guitar, and I don't enjoy "wham the button in time" games like DDR (unless you have a dancemat, but that's beside the point) too much even with the extra controllers such as dancemats

You are obviously talking like someone who has never experienced the wonder of Guitar Hero. Trust me, after a couple of songs you will wonder why you ever doubted them.

indeed, anyone who has never played guitar hero has no idea how it consumes you. you should really try it out leon, or try out your local best buy like jamal said, they have a few tracks to preview for the 360 version
