Default Species page suggestions.

Forgive me if there's already a topic for stuff like this, but I have some ideas to improve the species pages on the wiki, because they do look a bit bare right now.

My first idea is to add screenshots of the species varients to each respective page. There is already some text that describes each varient and how to get them, but I think that adding some images would help.

I also suggest that we add a section that list where else this species of pinata has appeared in the Viva Pinata franchise. Although there isn't much to Viva Pinata at this moment at time, it would be intresting to read.

To give you an idea of what I mean, I'll write a few paragraphs about the Cocodile.

"The Cocodile has made several apperances throughout the franchise. Several Cocodiles appear in Viva pinata: Party animals. They can be spotted in the crowds gathered at races and challenge events, cheering the main characters on.

Also, the Cocodile was one of the species chosen to be made into a small toy as part of Burger kings Viva Pinata promotion, held in several parts of the world during 2007. The toy was given away free with kids meals or could be brought sepreatly for a small amount"

Obviously, as the frachise grows, these sections would get larger.

So to sum up my ideas:

1. Add pictures of varients to each species page.
2. Add a section dealing with the species other apperances in the Viva Pinata franchise.

So, do you like my ideas, or don't you? Post away.

I like the variant idea, though it would take a while to get a picture of every one of them, and with the space it'll take on the page and all, is it really worth it? I suppose if you were willing to take the pics ...

As for the appearances thing, I think it's kind of obvious that most pinatas make appearances in VP games/toys/shows, the only way I would find this acceptable is if you only put cameo appearances. (Such as if the cocoadile made an appearance in the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie game in some painting somewhere in the game)

As Zap mentioned, one of the biggest problems with the pictures of variants is getting all of the images. It isn't easy to get good quality screenshots (particularly on the Xbox 360 version).

I did take some screen shots last night, I'll find a way to upload them later, and you can tell me whether they're a good enough quality.

Well, it is possible to take pictures on a Xbox camera thingy, then upload the images to a computer. That's what I use to take videos and photos.

Default Variant Pics?

Why aren't there pictures of all of the different variants. They could easily be put up in a table similar to Dragonanche's colors. It just seems silly to mention the changing of colors without showing the actual colors.

That suggestion has come up a few times, but most of us don't have capture cards (or VP for Windows), and/or the time to collect and upload almost 200 good-quality pics.

It's always been a good idea and is an ambitious project, if anyone has the time or the desire to tackle it.

Well, for the benefit of that poster, they probably didn't see this thread, or they probably wouldn't have made a duplicate thread

Well, I'd be willing to take pictures of the variants that I have. I have the Windows version. I'd also take pictures of the other variants if I could obtain them.
