We moved to a new house last year and now that spring is here, I want to plant some climbing plants to decorate our dog-run. At the old house, I've always grown Morning Glories, Moonflowers, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, and Roses since their perennial so I don't have to replant each year. We planted the Honeysuckle and Jasmine at the new house last year (The rose bushes too, but they died :C) and I'm planting the Morning Glories and Moonflowers soon. There's still a lot of empty space along the fence, so does anyone know any other good climbing plants that work well in a southern/mesic climate?

How about growing some wisteria. I don't know whether it will work and grow well in the climate you described but it is a nice climbing plant. Here is a pic-

Ooh yes, wisteria grows quite well in Texas; I've got a great big plant of it overtaking one of the backyard fences out back. Other than that I'm not sure what can be terribly drought-resistant (I'm guessing you live in West Texas with your climate description)

Well actually our house is sort of the rain-drain of our street, because of the way the water drain system is situated. So with all the unexpected 5-minute-rainshowers in Texas (lol) we have a really well watered lawn.
I think the Wisteria sounds great! Oh, and does anyone know any good flowers too?

I've got snapdragons and lilies growing blooming now... we used to have tons of daisies but I don't know where they are now. There's actually a raspberry bush growing by the pool now, ever thought about growing one of those?
