Eating/Fighting how to please?

Hi everyone,

I just got my game a couple of days ago and I can not figure out how to make my Pretzail eat the duck (the Quakenberry, or something like that) for the romancing requirements. I made 2 Preztails a variant, and they were happy, but I kept trying to drag them over to a duck and nothing happend. I'm sure this is such a dumb question, but I don't have very much experience w/ VP. I also checked the FAQ but I didn't see it there...Help!

Tap the Pretztail then drag until the yellow ring is around the Quackberry. They should start fighting.

But if it's around the time when the Pretztail usually goes into it's house to sleep, it'll ignore you and just go into the house. So wait until it wakes up and then you can try to make it eat the Quackberry.

If that doesn't work, you can always use romance candy if you have any. Just tap the Pretztail you want to romance and there's a pink candy icon that you can use to feed it. Romance candy will instantly meet all romance requirements for any pinata you use it on as long as they have a house in the garden. You earn romance candy by packing your pinatas up and sending them to Pinata Central for parties.

EDIT: If the Pretztail goes into the house, you can also tap the house a few times to get it to come back out, but it'll still want to go back inside to sleep, so you have to be quick if you want it to eat the Quackberry by directing the Pretztail to it as soon as you can. That's why it's better to just wait until it's awake.

I ended up using the candy :-p I was able to get the Lickatoad to the variant taffly, so I'm thinking it was probably the time of day that made the Preztail not want to eat, he had the heart above his head though, so he was ready to romance. Thank you for answering
