A quick glance at Rare's site and we can conclude that the Owl pinata's called a HootyFruity (http://rareware.com/games/vivapinata-trouble/castlist/castlist-01.html)

Counting up so far we have 23 new ones in this list. My goodness... Almost to thirty. I kind of think 30 would be too low of a number. But you can fit so little in the next two years, it takes time to get some more. Also making an educated guess the pic of Pester with the Quail has a schoolhouse on top of a pile of books. Me thinks that's the Hootiefruity's home. Also the same pic, does that look like a quail to you? I could be mistaken, it looks like a quail to me.

In regards to the Minotaur, I think it could be real. They did mention that the Drgonache may not be the biggest and strogest anymore, and the Minotaur just might be the Pinata they were reffering too.

As mentioned in some of the previews, there are now basically quick select bars (best to look here (http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/screen/74065/Viva-Piata-Trouble-in-Paradise/)) that allow you to scroll through all your animals, plants and also any possible seeds you could buy. With the Pinata one, just scroll through to your flying friend and he'll become selected.

I'll take an educated guess and reckon you have to visit the pinarctic region and trap it because I saw a screenshot of what looked like a moojoo and a jeli walking into a box in snow (box might be trap).

In VP:TIP you will have to go to the desert and pinarctic regions and capture some pinatas in those areas by placing pinata traps that will trap the pinata and will then be available for you to get it to reside.
