This is taken from an article on Gamespot

One of the coolest additions to the franchise is the addition of Pinata Vision. By scanning barcoded cards with the Xbox Live Vision camera, you can import new Pinata variations into the game. We received a special pack of cards that included a yeti, moose, monkey, tortoise, parrot, cat, warthog, gorilla, camel, and crab, among others. Rare are still considering how to distribute the cards, but said they might appear as a promotion on game magazine covers, and game sites. They illustrated this by showing us a fullscreen JPEG image of a pinata that had been saved to a PDA. The PDA screen was then scanned by the camera, just like a tangible card.

So.... Dibs on the inevitable "Xbox Live Vision Pics thread"?

Hey! Maybe this could somehow help in re-gaining any pinatas tamed in VP1!

I hope u can use cards more then once, and be4 u get the pinata on the card. Then u can get a garden full of rare pinatas like Roarios, Chippos, Galagoogoos, Eaglairs, and everything else thats rare!

It's going to be all down to how you want to use it. I'm in no doubt that the wiki and these threads will be bursting at the seams when it comes to these cards, so I doubt accessibility will be a problem.

I always figured it would work the same way as Eye of Judgement.

I wonder if you can use virtual picture frames for this?

Seeing as ink is getting rather expensive these days...

Yes. It shouldn't matter to the camera whether you've shown it an actual Pinata Vision card, or an image of a card via a portable device, or a virtual picture frame as you mentioned.

This is even mentioned in the Gamespot interview.

That's great I'll have to check out that interview.
