I'm looking forward to finding out more about the human characters, they fascinate me so. Also, I'm looking forward to the new pinatas, of course! The fact that you can get toys for them now will lead to several adorable animations, I'm sure. =)

You could always play one copy using Couch Social mode. With the player two support for magic (tinkering, healing, filling candiosity), you'll both be able to work together in one garden, with access to features that traditionally depend on villagers. But, yes, I believe we may hear something eventually about possible online multiplayer co-op.
