I made it a sticky. As soon as a release date is announced this is where you will see it.

I don't see why it wouldn't... "OUT EVERYWHERE... Except Australia, to smite Pigxie personnally!" :p

According to Wikipedia, it says coming out in North America, Japan, & Europe.

As with most things regarding its release, nothing is currently concrete. I very much doubt we'd exclude Australia but who can tell what crazy minds exist in the realm of publishing.

You sound like your refering to yourself...

Just kidding, but seriously this seems to be very slow in the making. I thought it was announced at the san diego comic con like 2 years ago

I think it was only last year that they announced it at Comic-con.

I asked about it at EB games and the guy says he heard of it in a review,
but it wasn't in the data base of games :(

Isn't the touch screen like, a huge part of the Nintendo DS? Sounds to me like you need a new one o_0

If you look at the screenshots, you'll need the touch screen to get through the game.

I think it's going to be exactly like the game for the 360 and PC. Only with new pinatas and you use the touch screen for the garden.

BIGsheep
05-08-2008, 03:19 AM
Well it carries on in the same spirit, i.e. gardening. Party Animals was a little diversion from this concept but VP:PP should bring your some fresh ideas and ways to play to the table.

I supose the graphics for this game take a long time to program because they're three dimensional. As far as I know, a two dimensional game where you already have most of the designs takes less than a year to make, there's one game that was based off a program I like and that only took about 6 monthes since the game was announced to the release date

Don't forget that many games are in development long before they are announced. There was only about 8 months between the announcement of Viva Pinata: Classic and it's release date, but it was in development for over four years.

Amazon lists a release date of September 8, 2008, but as we all know retailer dates aren't always accurate.

Please try to avoid making duplicate threads. A release date thread already exists.

As mentioned in this thread, it's probably going to ship on the 8th and be available in stores on the 9th. This is for the US. You can check UK stores for your release date.

Rare's website (http://www.rareware.com/company/news.html) has been updated and it looks like VP: PP has received final Nintendo approval and will launch on the same days as VP :TIP
