Home key not responding

I have read an old post, and no solution was found, so i'm gonna repost...

My home key will not respond on the part where it says:

"Push Home key to login or create a Windows live account, or click anywhere to continue without saving."

Please help, as this is so frustrating. Do i need to buy a controller to make this game work?

I've tried downloading Viva Pinata on two computers and both have a problem with it !
-First my windows 7 seems to have the most success, the game plays fine, but i can't save because the home key isn't working! I've tried downloading the halo patch and practically everything, i just can't get this home key to work !

-Then I tried my windows vista computer, and every time I try to play it says error, that viva pinata shut down :(

I'm really at a loss of what to do, if you could help me I'd really appreciate it.

So browsing through the internet, I was able to find a way, not through the CMD or anything!

I figured that you couldn't open it, but it should have to be opened. I started looking up Games for Windows LIVE. I found out that there is a client for this.

For me, all I had to do was download the client and it worked, I just had it running then opened Viva Pinata.

To download the client go to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977844 and scroll down to the client.
