Yeah, PIF. Mostly because:

A) We can represent for this awesome forum
B) We might be thought little of in a big clan battle or something if somebody starts with the "Oh! Viva Pinata! Hey, guys look, more five year olds playing Halo. Hey guys can I have some can-day?" and all that crap.

I can't wait for this though, all of the "clans" I've been in so far are really stupid, I can't even remember the names... At least we have a fairly well established site, and dedicated players! BTW, I'll edit my Gamertag if I need to, but I'd rather not.

As for being thought of as 5 year olds, that could work to our advantage. Our opposition would underestimate us, we kick their butts, then put on our best kiddy voices and say " nerrrrr nerr ne nerrrr nerrrrrrrr, you got beat by a bunch of 5 year olds!" and blow a few raspberries for good measure LOL!!

Seriously though I think PIF or maybe even PIA (Pinata Island Association) both sound good.

Labbo94, I was thinking about the samething last night after I posted this ... how can we start a clan if we don't have matching GTs to go with it? I don't want to change my GT either. Any ideas?

It'd be cool to name our clan after a pinata, (something not unlike the Pinata Survivor tribe names...) and download all matching Gamer pics. But of course, they'd hafta be SOUR! Most of the players on the forum here probably've already downloaded em anyway.

Right. I am saying that we just all use our normal Gamertags that have all of our scores Achievements, ect. Then, through Marketplace we all download matching Viva Pinata gamer pictures. Maybe we should start another poll for which pinata should symbolize us if we move on with this awesome idea?

PIF - This is the PIF community, we should represent PIF.

Viva Pinata is just what brought us together. It is like all of those Halo 2 clans just simply calling themselves H2 or HALO2.

I like the idea of having a matching icon, and then we could just mention PIF in the Motto section :)

I say we try to get as close as we can to certian Pinata for emblems, and have them set as rank.

(ie, Pretztail Rank is considered Whirlm Rank's superior)

Some games allow you to add a 3 letter prefix to your gamer tag too. This obviously only shows up in the lobby/games/scorecard for the game in question. I know Rainbow 6: Vegas allows it, not sure of any others. i think Graw and Graw 2 do aswell.

Why would we have ranks within our own clan? It seems like that'd end up kind of like Achievements where teamwork goes second to ranking up. If that happened, our clan'd fall apart in seconds ):

Well it isn't necesarilly "ranks." It is more of, the leader of the clan, and then an officers group, and then the rest of the members.

The officers can be the coordinators for what games will be played and such, like if there was a Halo 2 night & and GoW night at the same time. The officers would be the ones that head it up and invite everyone to it and such.

I like PIF. The VP community is vast, and it would be too generic to be a VP clan. There is always a possibility of another VP forum creating a VP clan and we wouldn't want to be mixed up with them would we? By calling us the PIF clan, "membership" is limited to just the forums users here and we'd know everyone who is joining our clan.

1. Gamerpic ... matching one would be nice and cool, but only if we can come up with a unique one that we create ourselves, but who knows of a good way to transfer custom graphics to the 360 for gamerpic use?

2. Ranks ... I don't like it, since it is not a competition among ourselves but rather a team grouping

3. Games ... I am not sure but my schedule is random so I cannot really host, and also since my firewall is making it NAT STRICT, so it makes it really hard for others to join my host games.

Charles what I suggested isn't really ranks.

There can only be one leader, so that isn't an actual rank you can aspire to achieve. Then another group of people that can help host games and organize it and stuff. Then the rest of the members.

I don't think that it would inspire much competition between the people just to get up to the "hosting" rank.


And to put custom pics as your gamerpic, your computer has to be connected I think. Then, when you go to the System on your 360, you find the picture and set is as a GamerPic? I think thats what happens.

You can't use custom gamerpics created by yourlselves. If we could Microsoft would lose out on fleecing us for the 20 MS Points for the gamerpics on the marketplace. :lol:

I asked about this quite a while ago on various forums as I couldnt get an answer by googling the net. I was told on 2 forums that its not possible to use your own personalized gamer pics. Pity really because there are a few i would have loved to use. My favourite being this one

I hope MS do allow you to use your own gamerpics in the future but doubt it, as each picture would have to be approved by MS because some people would use "inappropriate" images.

Okay, since no one has taken the reins in a while now, I will put some stuff out there...
Team 1 of PIF: Team 1 (to be renamed in the future) will have Gamer pics from the Sour Viva Pinata picture pack. Any pinata in the pack will work, and the payment for them is a sor tuition fee. Team 1 will specailize, but not be sucluded to, shooters, action, and adventure games.
Team 2 of PIF (to be renamed), will have it's sub members wearing Sweet gamer pics. They will cover just about anything else such as racing, sports, RPGs, ect.

These are some simple out lines. This way though, our clan will have good skills in every area, and have fit members to practice against. For example, if I want to join in on our GRAW 2 tourney, I can send out some invites to the Sours and get some cramming done before the big day. All games, practices, and tourneys are, at this point, going to be made by members and it's the host's responsibility to send out invites. Tell me what you guys/gals think!

Plus, not everyone can afford MS Points, be it strict family matters, or the nearby stores not having 1600 point cards.

I think talks of tournaments is a bit early yet but some practise matches would go down well. We just need to find names and games.

Alrighty then! Well, of course I think Halo 2, and eventually 3 are inevitable. Maybe a more tactical shooter too along the lines of Gears of War, Rainbow 6: Vegas, or GRAW 2(I don't have this one). After my conversion to 360 a few months ago, my game library is slim, and I don't know what all of the good multiplayer games are out there besides FPS, so that's about all I've got at the moment.
