If you look really closely while watching the show you can notice some truely bizarre things: equivelents, things that were never really explained and somethings that were just a bit weird. I thought we could discuss these things here, so here are some things I've noticed.

I the episode "The six-million-dollar pinata" if you look closely at the background of Prewitt's "garage" you can see the pinata equivelent to an I.V. drip (this one really weirded me out)

In the episode "Hudson's biggest fan" Beverly says "Maybe you're right, I don't need another bit of paper with your name on it... Instead, I want you to sign my face!". Wouldn't signing her face technically be still signing paper.

What exactly is candy in pinatas the equivilent to? It seems to me that the closest thing is body fat...if not there might be some horrifying implications

In the episode "Legs" you see Fergy wearing shoes while dancing, how did they stay on when pinatas have no visible feet?

I actually had my own as I've been watching the show...
In the episode of Confettiitus: Franklin was in danger of exploading with Dr. Quackberry's "cure". Fergy said "We don't want to lose you."... If a pinata that busts open at a party is still able to come back in one piece, wouldn't Franklin be alright if he DID explode anyway?

Why the heck were there piles of candy on the moon in Candyballism... Seriously, I thought that was the worst, most ill conseved ending ever... Even if Fergy just happened to find an abandoned rocket that could take him back home it would make more sense. Not to mention that it makes his punishment for lying while tried for murder a reward...

Why is Leafos in the opening and not on the show? (Seriously- been bugging me ever since I noticed her.)

Why were the pinatas so disgusted at Franklin being filled with veggies in the Franklingestion episode? Don't they EAT veggies? I mean, it might wierd them out, but it shouldn't cause an angry mob...

How come in Wrasins of Wrath, Les eats the pie, and all that happens is he gains speech... Shouldn't he have also been turned into an idiot?

Also in Wrasins of Wrath... The two chewnicorns were sitting reading papers... Is it just me, or did anyone else interpret that as the "Raisins" being chewnicorn excriment?

I have more, but I'll leave it at that... I like the characters(Cept Hudson- although I like his voice.) but sometimes it makes me think "What were they drinking?"

I can answer the last one.

VP has stock characters, they can be defined in short sentences.

Hudson is the behaves like a celebrity with the voice to boot.
Fergy is afraid of parties so much, that he'll be duped many times over.
Paulie is the sensible one
Franklin can't lie and is towards non-violence.
Les is a genius, however that is overshadowed by the fact he can't talk in words.
Ella has short term memory.

No dynamics here, just static. But this a sitcom people.

Yeah, I get you... Still, Les is smart- no doubt about that. But if he were inverted, he'd not be smart- all my logic is.

hmm, that's an interesting way of seeing it, personally, I think that you can apply the social phycology's typical group outline(my mom studies psycology and I read her books and watch her lectures so I know about this sort of thing. I may have missed some types of group members though, as it's been awhile since I last read this section). Basically all groups, regardless of size and make-up, have cetain roles of the group, while depending on the size of the group of the personality of the members you may miss some less crucial roles or have at least one person filling more than one role.

The best image for this is a long meeting table with one seat for each person(in this case, we would have the main protagonist characters). At the head of the table we have the "Task Manager", sort of the same as the leader. Basically, whether they are the most efficient or not, they are the accepted manager of all tasks who know what the group is trying to achieve and will plan out how they can do this. I'd say that the character that fits this role best is Paulie.
Next to the "Task Manager" we would have the "Emotion Manager", they are the person who is completely calm the most often, the one who smoothes over conflicts, who listens to your worries and who generally tries to keep the peace. The best character for this position is Franklyn.
At the other end or the "foot" of the table, you will find the "Rebel or the Alternative Task Manager". This person is, wether they are the most efficient or not, the less accepted manager of tasks they are the the person who questions the the task manager most often, who will try hardest to make sure their ideas are listened to and will have the least tolerence for being ignored. They may also be frustraited that despite their good ideas are not as widely accepted as the task managers and will try to find a way to make their ideas be listened to or show that they will work by secretly setting them up on their own to show upon completion. I'd say this role would fall to Les.

After this point we lose the decided seats and instead place them in random positions along the meeting table. The next role is that of the "Whiner", the one person who is never entirely sure of anything, who points out every issue no matter how small and who will be the first one to ask if they can be done something. I'd say the pinata who suits this best is Fergy.
The next role is the "Narcisist" the one who thinks they're the greatest and what really holds the group together (not to be confused with the rebel/ althernative task manager who is in all likelyhood a major contributor, the narcisist thinks they are a bigger contributor thank they really are), always wants to know what's in it for them and always exagerates their achievments. This one is easy, it can only be Hudson.
Finally(?), we have the observer(s), those who are part of the group but don't an active part very often, who will sit and take notes look-up ocasionally, who almost never go out and voice their opinions or an idea, are completely happy with the group as it is and don't see any real need to change it. The observers are Tina, Teddington and to a greater extent Ella.

Ella's definately the observer due to her not remembering anything to even HAVE an opinion, but with Tina and Teddington, it's kind of odd cause of the fact that they DO voice their opinions, but their opinions kind of loop and reach a dead end with their arguments... It seems both of them might have a seperate side catagory or something, like where either one thinks that they are BOTH an emotion manager and a narcisist at any given time.
On a side note, your thing with the social phycology's typical group outlines is cool... I'm actually thinking of applying it to my own stuff... :D you don't mind do you?

Have you noticed that in Whirlm With A Dream (I think that's what it was) and Les The Jet Setter, Paulie talks to Langston, but he doesn't try and catch him!

I've got another thing, and it's not just in viva pinata: disguises.

Seriously, I mean all the pinatas are so stupid at telling if it's a disguise or not. I mean proffessor pester can just put on a moustach and they wont be able to recognise him. In "Pinata island idol" all he did was wear one of those tightwalker skirts, and hudson didnt know it was pester. Also in "Lights camera action" when all the pinatas are about to be trapped in the cage, pester's not even wearing a disguise! yet they still couldnt tell it was him!

I mean come on, 1: He always wears his red uniform underneath his disguises that's incredibly recogniseable 2: He always has those sharp teeth 3: He always uses the same voice!

Paulie can tell that something's wrong when nobody can recognise the "Stranger" but he still can't tell it's pester behind the obvious disguise!

Once Pester wore black! Hes not always red! And he had a Darth Vader voice!

ANd about pinata gender, in VP any pinata can romance with any pinata, very wrong but true, so the T.V. show was probably reflecting a little on that.

In Season 2 they've started showing variants. Some, like alot of Fizzlybears in Hibernation Nation, a Cocoadile in Too Many Fergys, and 4 Pengums in Arctic Invasion, don't exist! Weird.

Hey Ive seen almost every episode of viva pinata yet and im confused witha lot of stuff ive noticed:

My sweet swanana: how come rory and his swanana wife love their pigxie baby if their species hate pigxie as their enemies?

I thought that pretztails enjoyed bunnycombs as a tatsy treat? Then how come when Flex Fudgehog Fixed Paulies Juke box he was suddenly attractive to bunnycombs that adored him?and in TiP it says bunnycombs are fizzlybear's favorite food and franklin enjoys hanging out and surfing with his bunnycomb friend

Motivational Beak:Eddie eaglair just by the way his pattern is and the color was i thought that he was not even an eaglair but a different pinata but beleive it or not he is an eaglair

bringing up cluckle:I dont understand how the baby cluckles were born with diapers on but more confusing was that i didnt know that florence fizzlybear had kids(see the episode to understand what i meen) and when did dragonaches hatch out of cluckle eggs?

Many, Many, MANY episode ive noticed fake variants for example:
Light Blue Rashberry
Yellow/Orange Rashberry
Brown Moozipan
Purple Quackberry
Yellow Cinnamonkey
Pink Rashberry

if prof. pester uses all these difficult and technoligical weapons and tactics how come he just does the same thing in the video games: hunt down the pinata then hit them with a pinata stick

if youve noticed something that doesnt make sense in other episodes tell me

...and when did dragonaches hatch out of cluckle eggs? The "cluckle egg" that the dragonache hatched from was much, much larger than the other two cluckle eggs; I also remember hearing that the female cluckles "adopted" the dragonache eggs to raise as their own once the baby dragonaches emerged.

But yes, if memory serves, the cluckle eggs and the dragonache egg had the same coloration - the only significant difference was their size.

Some of them have premiered on the CW4Kids channel, but some other ones have yet to premiere (they've already premiered on YTV).

Some things I've seen are that, I've noticed a whole bunch of Party Animals parodys ever since the episode Fudge Match. Also in the episode Say Uncle Hoofy, why would Fracine, a fudgehog, marry Hoofy, a horstachio.

Does anybody have answers for those.

You know how they change the sayings to their pinata species? Like instead of "the early bird catches the worm" it would be "the early Sparrowmint catches the Whirlm". In To Catch a Pester, Franklin said he sent the bill check via snail mail. But shouldn't it be Shellybean mail? Also, how come there are two red Dragonaches now? I thought you could only get one per garden...unless they're all in seperate gardens...or does this explain how the red Dragonache came to be in the first place?

Why don'y the Pinatas just mate instead of marry, and should'nt they speak some spanish since thier mexican?
P.S. Was'nt Fergy a little anxious to eat Wilson on WHIRLM WITH A DREAM?

Ya Know what, Flex's running appearance on Fudge Match, Pretty much reminded me of Sonic the Hedgehog, and on Franklingeston, when Franklin yelled "I'M GONNA WET MY PANTS!" on the spinny thing and the liquid came was that*gulp* Pinata urine!?

I've just noticed another thing. In I Pretztail at the start Paulie draws an X on Fergy's file so he doesnt have to go to any more partys. Yet he still gets chased by Langston in future episodes!

You can see the gang just woresons their problems instead of reverse them.
Example: In Beauty and the Beats, Hudson sabotaged the pageant to rid the girls instead of APOLOGIZED LIKED HE SHOULD HAVE! another is on My Little Fergy, Fergy lied to his mother that he's been PInata Central's best Pinata, but he SOULD HAVE TOLD THE TRUTH FOR LIKE THE TENTH TIME! Langston you asked , 5 words: "He-Is-Mad-With-Power!"

Well, the whole Langston thing is a bit creepy when you think about it. I don't see why he needs Paulie and Fergy to go to a party when any other Pretztail or Fudgehog will do just fine.

Besides, the actual "Being smashed apart with a stick" is supposed to feel really nice for pinatas. So, to the pinatas that don't have pinatapartyfobia at least, Langston is only really sending them off to have a nice time.

I had a new theory since I left and came back on the whole "Langston loving his job on an almost creepy level" thing...

Maybe he HIMSELF is afraid of parties... :D

Hear me out here, and lets look at the facts;

1) The Pinata Wrangler never has to go to parties.
2) Pinatas USUALLY think it odd to not want to go to parties, yet there ARE a few official ways to avoid them (like getting knighted, being too tough for them, retirement, and being the wrangler), and I'd imagine that in those cases a blind eye is turned so that the party-avoider stops being "That wierdo who avoids parties" and just lives out their lives as an ordinary pinata who just HAPPENS to not go to parties (which is what Fergy has tried for several times more then Paulie.)
3) When Fergy had Langston's job, he became downright militant about it TOO. Partly cause of his fear of losing the job and being put back on the hit-list, and partly (IMO) cause of his zainy personality.
4) IF Langston were to be, say, afraid of parties, the fact that he's a wrangler prevents him from ever having to GO to one, AND all his overly-hyped talk about how much fun they are removes all suspitions OF his fear.
5) Langston is more obsessive about getting Fergy then Paulie (He's chased Fergy by his lonesome, and Fergy and Paulie together, but never that I've seen has he chased Paulie by his lonesome... In fact, sometimes when he's chasing Fergy, Paulie's just on the sidelines occationally helping.)... There just CAN'T be that many parties specifically requesting a fudgehog, and even if there were, Fergys not the only one out there... Maybe Langstons afraid that since Fergy shares the fear, he might figure it all out...

So yeah, maybe it's all smoke and mirrors to hide a dark secret... :D

Or maybe he's just a few screws loose...

pinataFan626001
03-11-2009, 08:54 PM
I agree with you, but didn't you remember, To Catch A Pinata, Langston went to 2 parties in that episode and didn't complain. Maybe is expression was showing that, but still I don't think he's afraid of parties in one way, but is in another.

Sherbattybuddy
03-11-2009, 09:21 PM
Well, he WAS sent to the parties, but since we didn't have cutscenes of him trying to get back, we don't know that he was actually bashed or not, cause the kids would have been expecting a fudgehog or pretztail, and he could have appologised about the mixup. We don't even know if he tried escaping (After all, how long was he gone? Pinata on the run in the outside world trying to get back safetly...) and when he comes back he's trying to get back to work, so he might be trying to put on a strong face...

Besides, maybe fear of parties DOESN'T get better over time. Maybe if your afraid of parties, you ALWAYS will be, reguardless of how many you get sent to.

Anyway, it's just a kooky little theory that I laugh at when I watch said show.
