Hi,

I can officially announce a new game!


Ok it's only a 5 a side match between the remains of the pinata development team and the R&D team but I couldn't resit the wind up :-).

Errrm

p.s. If we lose it's BIGsheep's fault he's in goal :-)

Really, from my interpretation it sounded like Rare is having a soccer game.

Before this gets out of hand, let's be absolutely clear that he is NOT talking about a video game, but rather an actual Soccer match (aka Football to the Europeans).

We're playing against the R&D team from Rare. Each year we have a 5 a side tournament at work which culminates with a final at our summer fete, which will probably get rained out this year.... no bouncy castle for me!

It sounds relatively unlikely that someone other than Rare will win. Perhaps you should say "VP FTW!!!"

I don't know about Errrm and the others, but I do know that you can see a blue-haired Sheep guarding the goal in there.

I wasn't there but BIGsheep was playing in goal for one of the teams, all I've got to say about the 'video footage' is that Lionhead must have a very good editing suit :-).

And, as expected, BIGsheep and co. got thrashed, but BIGsheep actually makes it sound hilarious.Thrashed! Cheeky blighter, my team came away with a win and a draw... the other Rare team, or "Utter Disgrace FC" as I now know them, did lose 3-0 twice in a row but we try and ignore that hiccup.

Anyway, the VP squad lifted the Rare Cup at the weekend beating the old PD team in the final after a penalty shoot-out. Write up coming up soon on the blog (cheers for the plug, Dark) ;)

Yes, thrashed wasn't exactly the correct word for the situation :p. Perhaps "Admirably irritated" would've served the scene more.

Well done for lifting the cup aloft. The words 'penalty' and 'shootout' to an English person are like suicide. Good work.
