Anyone like Invader Zim?
If you don't know what it is, it's a cartoon (made by the stunning Jhonen Vasquez) that showed on Nickelodeon before it was cancelled.

Personally, I love it -- it's my favourite cartoon (next to Danny Phantom).
It actually scared me the first time I saw an episode, because I was sick and staying home, and Dark Harvest was on, at the part where Zim opened his mouth and an organ just spewed out, so I didn't like it at first... (Dark Harvest is not a good first episode to see.)
But I got over myself and am completely and utterly in love with the series now. I've got the complete series on dvd. =]

Dib's my favourite character; Gaz is my second favourite.
I can't really pick a favourite episode... but some of mine are;

+ Tak: The Hideous New Girl
+ GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff
+ Vindicated!
I seriously have a vendetta against Nickelodeon for cancelling the show, because it's amazing.

I loooooooove invader zim. Gir rocks! I bought all the episodes on dvd and memorized all episodes. You can totally tellw hy the show got cancelled I mean the graphics are weird and scary and theirs some other weird stuff in it like peepee the hamster.

That is my favorite cartoon. Well, it was... before it got canned. Now I suppose Class of 3000 is my fave.

I think my favorite episode would have to be the halloween special.

Favorite character is tough... because I like them all very much for different reasons. I'd have to say... it's a tie between Gaz and Dib. No, no... tie between Gaz, Dib and Zim. They're all just so incredibly developed as characters.

...I forgot Gir. I like Gir, too.

JtHM is pretty much the most amazing comic ever.
I've got the Director's Cut version of it, as well as Squee's Wonderful Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors.
I haven't been able to find I Feel Sick, though, but I want to so badly; Devi's amazing. <3

Not really... Personally, I love Vasquez's art style. It's one of my favourite styles.
The only "scary" things I can think of in the show really were Dark Harvest and maybe the Halloween special... but that's my thoughts.
If I'm not mistaken it got cancelled because of low ratings and no time for it on air.

All i remember about that show was this one episode where they were in a fast food restaurant and he added like artificial meat flavoring to the fries. The most random tidbit ever.. That and a shrinkable red robot? Maybe?

Invader Zim is tha bomb Gir is the best with his little piggys but its back on, on nickelodeon in australia its on twice on weekends my fav ep is the 1 how gir is the house lol and he goes to thge taco place but he cant eat... hahaha

I am assuming you meant cancel and the answer is because it was too conservationial after the 9/11 episode incident. If you didn't see this episode they made an episode making fun of the officials who responded to ground zero.

The show never found a time slot that the creators of the program thought suitable and suffered in the ratings. The show crew requested that Invader Zim be moved to MTV similarly to the way Ren and Stimpy had been, but this never happened. Before two seasons were completed, it was canceled by Nickelodeon.

That is why it was canceled or at least what they say on wikipedia

Invader Zim was one of my favourite shows. I downloaded the entire series way back when before importing the DVDs. I'm sad that it didn't last very long, but in a way, I'm glad that it didn't end up going the way of many other Nickolodeon cartoons and ending up going downhill really fast.

Rugrats springs to mind there.
