Is it worth it? I want to get Forza Motor 2 and it seems to look fun to play with it. So I is it worth the money?

I don't know, as I don't have one...
But I imagine it would be.
I mean, games like Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero wouldn't be half as fun without their respective dance mats and guitar peripherals, so wouldn't a racing game be even more fun with a steering wheel controller?
Well, from what I'd imagine, anyway.

Indeed, most accessories such as those are expensive...
Hmm, do you have a friend irl that has the steering wheel?
If so, maybe you could borrow it, and then make your decision about purchasing it...?
If not, I have no idea what to suggest, sorry. ^^;

None of my friends like racing games they only like gh2, halo, and sports games. Well not many good games for 360 or wii are coming out so i just might buy it

I like it, but it can be hard to control when the force feedback kicks in...very realistic.

There are two die-hard Forza 2 drivers within sight of my office at Rare. One uses a wheel, the other doesn't. They're both playing an awful lot of Forza 2 and each of them is progressing through the game at a crazy pace. So, you certainly don't need the wheel, but I've got one and it's very good. Unfortunately the wheel is much better than my driving skills! The feedback is strong, but that's exactly what you need if you are to get the most out of each of the different cars in the game. I spent an evening trying out different cars to see how they feel, doing donuts, reversing at speed and not actually making a lap!

If you like racing games then the wheel would make sense as a long-term investment. My wheel game with a free updated copy of PGR3 that supported the wheel. PGR4 is coming and I've heard very good things about DiRT.

I noticed they had one on the demo system at my local GameCrazy. Call around to your local stores and see if any of them have it hooked up, so you can try it out first, Blade.

I'm just a casual player. I do fine with the controller, so I never even tried out the wheel.

Well im probably going to get one. You guys/girls have said good things about it so I might as well get it. Are there any cons?

Its large and goes in your lap? If that counts as a con

I have the wheel, and the force feedback makes it SO MUCH EASIER! Without it, you have to straighten the car out yourself--unlike with it and with the controller.

Pros:
-Improves gaming experience.
-Adds a precise touch to racing.
-Cool paddle shifters makes shifting easier.
-Rubber wheel improves grip.
-Larger turning radius for extreme corners.
-Force feedback adds a realistic element.
-Comes with PGR3!
-Many more pros...

Cons:
-It's $130.
-It has a lot of wires, although it's wireless.
-If your used to racing with the controller, it will be hard to use this.
-To turn it off and switch controllers, you must unplug it THEN turn it off, or it will be permanently assigned to player 1 (until you restart the XBOX).
-No control sticks!

Hope to see you on Forza!
