In most places in the US you can't work at 13, at 14 you can work on a farm (I think if your family owns it), and at 15, only at places that allow it. Even at 15 not too many places want you. In my expirence.

That's all too true.
When you turn fourteen, I think you could apply at, like... a Chick-fil-a. One of my friends is still fourteen, and she applied there. (But I don't remember if she was accepted -- hence the "I think.")
At fifteen, you get a few more options -- but not many. As Spartan said, they just usually don't want people under sixteen. (Understandable, when you think about it.)
But you're thirteen, so...
I'd suggest you just go around your neighbourhood and try picking up odd jobs, like mowing lawns or something.
Not the best way to earn money, but it could work.

There's 14-year old paparazzi now. Child Labour laws don't apply, because they sell their photos freelance. You live in Vegas... Go take some celeb photos.

Copper.
There's a decent amount of copper right now, aluminum is not bad either but copper is more valuable and easier to get.
Go to any construction site and ask the GC if you can come in and pick up scraps. Most times they'll be happy to let you in after hours, to them it's not worth the time it takes to collect it.
They operate on a deadline and most jobs have a $500+ penalty per day on finishing a job late so there's just not time for them to collect it and your saving them time by cleaning up their site.
With all the electricians, plumbers, AC techs, security systems, and audio/video wiring there's a lot of copper around a construction site.
In Oklahoma it sells for about $4.80 per pound, not sure about Las Vegas but chances are it's more.
I do piping and AC work, I spent about 30 minutes today after hours picking up scraps and stripping insulation of scrap wiring and ended up with about 15 pounds of copper.
$75 in 30 minutes is not a bad profit.
Generally you can 30-50 pounds of copper, 2-3 times from a small commercial building.
Demo is even better, anytime you demo and rebuild there's 100-200 of pounds in water lines, wiring, and AC coils in the demo process alone, then you get the scraps during the rebuilding.

I'm not saying this to be mean, but alot of places aren't going to want to hire an injured person. I really don't know much about odd jobs personally.

Ah.
I'm not familiar with LA, so I didn't know. =]
Hmm...
You could try other odd jobs, such as taking trash out for people, or being a dogwalker or babysitter.
Though, a broken wrist could hinder you in those...
Well... hope you get better soon, and figure out something you could do job-wise while you're injured...

Seeing as how you are leagally to young to work, I would suggest voulenteer work. It will open doors for you in the future when you are legaly able to work,IE good work historty and contacts.
But if you really need to make money now I would suggest general landscaping, buying things cheap at garage sales and the goodwill and then ebay the things(have parent set up ebay and paypal account), if you could find an under the table construction gig that would be great there are alot of good paying jobs in that field, learn to work on computers and that kind of stuff.
You shouldnt be working with an injury you could just agravate it.
