New DLC Rumor- 250 more gs being added?

My friend said that soon Rare is going to release some Viva Pinata DLC for 800 ms points. He said it would include more pinatas and 250 point worth of achievements. Is this true, or is her just messing with me? I sure hope that this is true.

Well, Gears of War came out at the same time as Viva Pinata, and the gear heads got there DLC.

Regardless, I think it's safe to say if anything is on the way, we will know, the second that were allowed to know. I'd say were looking at a long, long time before we get anything new, if ever. At least the chances of a Viva Pinata 2 coming out someday is likely.

The Devs have no say in the decition, and even if they were sitting on some DLC they could never say anything until it was about time to release it onto the marketplace.

Somewhere I remember seeing an outline of what Microsoft's suggested timeline for DLC was (was that one of the Gamefest presentations?)

Anyway, I know this is vague but it was something about small/cheap content during the first 30 days, and then a larger / more expensive update in a later time period. I don't recall exactly how long that period was, but I thought it was 6 months.

Looking at previous Rare releases we saw the Kameo Online Co-op update about four and half months after release, and the PDZ Autoupdate about five and months after its release.

So, where do we stand with VP? We're at about six and half months after release... That's longer than the other two Rare 360 games, and past the 6 month point. Things are not looking good for DLC. I wonder if it is because sales for the game didn't live up to expectations.

What else might the future hold? I guess we'll have to wait and see if anything is announced at the E3 Expo next month... or the Leipzig Games Convention in August, or the Tokyo Game Show in September.

I was romancing them today and was just watching it. One candied-up pig and a crepe paper swan in a room together. That's crazy stuff, no wonder it's hard to find.
Try romancing them and watch the video yourself. It may not make a difference but to romance I selected the Rashberry before the Swanana (The minigame is easier)

Back on topic: This game just screams out for DLC. It could take numerous forms such as pinatas, new garden space or any number of things, but right now the discussion is off an unfounded rumour and BigSheep doesn't seem to be holding out hope.

It's a rumor... No proof yet.


On a side note, we need a patch before DLC. I'd love to actually be able to send pinatas (Mainly WCs) to parties without having to worry.
