Alright, I've had my green Mini for a number of years and it's really outdated. Lately I've been thinking about getting an iPod, maybe a Nano. I don't plan on paying the outrageous prices for TV shows or movies and I don't have tons of music so the iPod Video probably isn't what I need. Any opinions or questions about iPods are more than welcome here.

By the way, if I got a Zune (Halo 3 Edition of course!) could I transfer my iTunes music onto it somehow?

There you go. It may seem a bit annoying having to do that, but you can blame it on iTunes's copyright protection :p

I just recently got a new iPod, a 2GB Nano, never go anywhere without it.
I never had any need for movies on an iPod, mine gets used the most at work and when I'm running or climbing.
So far I've had no problems from it, got around 330 songs and still have space left.

Haven't looked into the Zune much, only dealings I've had with it is the Zune software to link my PC and 360, didn't much care for it, I like iTunes much better.

In the end they're both reputable companies with good products, and it most likely comes down to nothing but preference.

I rarely download Podcasts, when I do I get them from www.podcast.net but there may be better places.

Thanks for all the help you guys, now I'm really torn between the two! This is one subject that would spark quite the debate.... Can anyone with a Zune compare the size to a household item? I'm afraid of getting it and having it be prehistorically HUGE. My other worry is that right after I buy the Nano Apple will pull an Apple and release a better, cheaper iPod right after I drop the cash like last time.

I like how if I build up a huge mound of MS Points I can just split them between Zune songs and over priced Gamerpics. Since I just stumbled across some spare cash (hundreds of old baseball cards. One of them a 1989 Barry Bonds [is that valuable?]) I'll probably be getting the Zune.

Honestly, the Zune isn't HUGE, but it is big. You get used to it after a while. I used to have an MP3 player smalled than the iPod Mini, and now I am fine with it. It is definitely worth it for the video screen on it though.
