Who is going to buy Crackdown? Just for Halo3 beta or because you think it will be a good game? What are your thoughts about Crackdown?

I think Crackdown is alright, from the demo.
I'll be buying my copy for Halo 3 Beta, Crackdown is just a bounus feature. :wink:

If Crackdown was terrible it wouldn't be worth getting just for the beta. However judging by the reviews and the demo the game is okay so it's a go to get the game since it has the beta. :)

I went to GameStop earlier and paid for it and waiting for it to come on Tue AM. However, I noticed many players have already gotten 800+ points for that game! I wonder where they got the game.

I seem to recall reading someplace that it was available in Mexico... or that someone down there had broken the streetdate and started selling the game early.

I have to admit I've really been wanting this game ever since I played Saints Row. I reallly enjoyed playing through that but when I saw the videos of Crackdown I just imagined sending my pimped up gangsta jumping from roof to roof and I salivated about the possibilities.

I can't say it's let me down either, Crackdown is great fun.

...little worried about it's longevity, though.

Crackdown is probably the game on the 360 that I've had the most fun with! I spent the first 5 hours getting annoyed with people shooting at me because I just wanted to jump about collecting Orbs!!! Then after 5 hours of that I started doing some of the other stuff in the game, even some of the missions sometimes. :)

Co-op just adds a new level of fun to the game, the fun that can be had 'accidentally' killing your friend without making it look like you meant to keeps me entertained for hours!!!

crackdown is great its the first game i've ever played thats just about having fun :P could of used a bit more of a story line but it doesent really matter because its just plain fun :twisted:

cant wait till i get xbox live gold to i can play co-op

and mayby even the halo 3 beta

i bought the game on the release date, and i think that its probably one of the best games that ive played for the 360. But i do agree with the person above me, it really could have used a better storyline.

I bought Crackdown and its awwwwsooomme, Its not Viva Pinata but it, CAN at times compete for my Attention ^^

Yep, you are definitely missing out. One of the best part that I love about the Halo games is the music. It totally sets the mood and draws you into the game. It gets me all excited and pumped up when I play it.

oh man I was so happy because Blockbuster took 4 of my crappy games that came free with my Xbox in exchange for Halo 3... until I realized it doesn't come out until November :(

I also have GTA reserved... it comes out in October... whoopdeedoo :roll:

I bought Crackdown on the Friday it came out and took it back on the Tuesday. it got very boring very quickly. Once the novelty of throwing cars into rivers and other people wore off, it became very old.

I'm not fussed about the Halo 3 beta, I tired off Halo 2 very quickly especially the online part with all the glitching kids swearing all the time. I'll probably buy Halo 3, but I don't know how long it'll hold my attention.

Crack(down) is an awesome game, though as what has been said, it could have used more storyline (http://media.wii.ign.com/articles/769/769957/img_4367254.html), but the cars MORPH?!?!?!?!? How cool is that?

Zap: When I showed my friends Crack (down) they were like, "This looks dumb" so I'm like "Really?" and got into a car and they were like ".....nevermind.... that was HOT!" :lol:

originally i was going to buy it just for the h3 demo and hope that the game would be good. but after i played the demo i realized how good the game was goign to be, so i got crackdown for crackdown. with the added bonus of h3 ofcoarse

What did you show them? SUV Climbing? Being able to jump is my favorite part. I was only Level 3 driving, but I showed them picking up cars and jumping around. They called it, "The hulk on drugs".

Level four driving is awesome, the cars get special abilities!! ( I'm not going to spoil it by saying what abilities :wink: )

I've got the demo from the OXM Disk, and I really enjoy it so far. I will most likely buy the game at some point, but not for the BETA.

I may give the original Halo games a rent. How long is the campaign?

They're long enough to give you good value for your money, I'd recommend one at a time as they take a while to complete. However, they're awfully samey in places, some levels are just the same scenery over and over again
