There have recently been some updates to Rare's website (http://www.rareware.com/).
I don't know if these were there before, but you can now download the song played during the end credits of the game: http://www.rareware.com/mp3/VP_EndTheme.mp3
And there is also an image that is an advertisement for job openings, but it shows a Fizzlybear packaged up with accessories. I don't know if it is part of potential product packaging or just something drawn specifically for recruitment... anyone from Rare care to comment?

There's a range of packaged pinata themed ads in use at the moment. I've seen a couple in this months Develop magazine. The products don't actually exist, it's all the work of an artist.

I can't wait to hear more news about the line of Viva Pinata merchandise... the original material said that much of it should be available in Spring 2007 and that is fast approaching.

I'd recommend everybody download the JetPac Refueled demo when it becomes available and give it a play. I grew up on games like JetPac on the ZX Spectrum. It was revived in Donkey Kong 64 as an unlockable easter egg. Wikipedia has a lot more info on the history of it if you're interested in knowing more.
Merchandise is still progressing, when I know more I'll let you know.

^ I remember that easter egg!! Didn't you need to beat it to get some rareware coin? Or was that the original donkey kong easter egg?

If I remember correctly, you needed 15 Banana medals to play it, and the coin it gives you is REQUIRED to fight K. Rool and beat the game.
