It's my first post. Don't kill me.

Whats the quickest way you've ever made money? I use the 'Chortles' method...
what about you?

I make tight triangles ( ten or so ) of chilis, you can fertilize them all to the max with three doses!

WC hunting helps too

I think he means using his cocoadiles to fertilize his plants, just like Chortles did in the episode
" cocoadile tears "

Ohhh....I have a cocodile, but I dunno how to collect his tears. Does anyone know?

Just send the Cocoadile to your plant.

And the Orchids is better, use special fertilizer on them 3 times and sell the whole thing, 1800 CCs as opposed to the 400 with Chili

Zap657

Yeah, but ten chilis X 400 - three fertilises = PROFIT Rather than having to give orchids three fertilises EACH

Thanks Tauron! I'll try that when I go back on VP.

The price for fertilizer is so low that it's irrelevant when planting high value flowers.

I have a garden divide in 4 sections 1 full of orchids 1 full of chili 1 full of viva pinata trap and the last one with poision ivy also one cocodile that fertilzers the plant also wc hunting  :P

I do the Venus Pinata Trap trick. With Diggerlings killing off 50 fully grown trap plants. Sell for 360 per bud. But I do this in another garden so no1 gets hurt except for the random Whirlms.

Ten fully fertilized chilis = 4,000

Ten fully fertilized Orchids = 18,000

Using the tap method:

Ten dying orchid roots + 40 Orchid flowers + 40 seeds = About 23,000

Okay, guys, you have to figure in your cost to know your profit. Do that and then tell us which is better.

One way i make money fast is just get the hunter to get me some taff's and turn them into redhotts.

Well, fertilizer costs 9CC each. 9x3=27x10=270..23000-270=22,730 CC for 10 Orchids with tap method. 4000-(9x3)=3,973 CC for 10 Chili. You decide. :)

Chilis grow faster, you'd have time to grow alot more.

It is also possible to dig holes for the orchids, allowing them to grow faster.

You will still need several sets of Chilis to equal the orchid set.

I have over 900,000 Doing Orchids. Make 3 rows, 10 Orchids each, you'll make 50,000 PROFIT...Its fast, and easy, just be quick or taflies will come and eat your profits!!!

Some interesting points have been made, and while the speed for chilis seems desirable and the relatively small area you can plant them in, it seems like they don't drop seeds (and neither do other vegetables). If that's the case, fertilized orchids are a self-multiplying money-maker where chilis have to incur the cost of the (admittedly single) fertilizer shake and the cost of the seeds each time.

If you don't tap it, how long does it take an orchid to drop its flowers/seeds?

I've always done Chile, but I'll try the Orchid.

I can get just about anything with the Cocoadile. The only problem is Prof. Pester. EVERY TIME HE COMES IN he goes for the COCOADILE. Why?

When I was low level, I used chilli, with 3 doses of red fertilizer to every 4 plants of chilli. Seeds are the cheapest.

Then I turned to use Bird of Paradise as I got higher level, with 3 doses of orange fertilizer to every 4 plants. Seeds are relatively cheap, sometimes I scored extra cheap orange fertilizer as well.

Later I tried Orchids, with 3 doses of the special fertilizer to every 2 plants, and if you're lucky, every 3... Seeds are expensive though.

Orchids grow the slowest. Chilli the fastest.
I love the Bird of Paradise method the most, however.

.You do know that you can fertilize ten at a time if you put them in triangles, right?

Oh yeah. I think I meant to say 9 at a time. I have always do 9. Never tried 10 before. Yeah. Sorry, my mistake.

I just tried the Orchids the other day, and the trick is you tap each plant 4 times when they're about a day old (and have all four flowers on them). Quickly sell all the stocks, possibly check out after that so they don't disappear, then sell all the flowers. If you have room to plant all the seeds, you have 4 times as many as you did before (and you probably won't be able to sell the stocks if you tap them all at once next time). Otherwise, sell the excess seeds, too :-) While I'm not doing it currently (I've been producing lots of Chewnicorns and selling some of them for cash), I think it's probably the easiest big profit you can go for, and you only have to buy seeds once :-)

I have tried it with 60(?) plants all in the garden at once, tapping out all the seeds, selling them individually, listening to them all bouncing in the garden. It drove me nuts!!

That is one advantage of using chewnicorns as livestock rather than orchids as a crop.

I like the fact that orchids drop their seeds, so after your initial investment you don't have to buy any more seeds. But I am completely bored with gardening and would much rather change sparrowmints into candaries and tafflies into redhots for profit. There isn't even any expense involved since they come into the garden on their own. I also like to breed and sell my favorite species (right now it's galagoogoos and ponockies).

Zap657
03-09-2007, 01:49 PM
There isn't even any expense involved since they come into the garden on their own. Not true! The expense of the buttercups for the sparrowmints, or the expense of the flowers to attract tafflies and the firebrands to change them into reddhots

Deirnut
03-09-2007, 02:34 PM
BUT I already have flowers in my garden and they reseed themselves, so I never buy seeds specifically to attract them, so, it's kinda like free! :P

Kawigi
03-09-2007, 03:20 PM
The same way tapping orchids is free if you don't bother to fertilize them ;-)

Hello? Just use Cocoadile Tears? They are FREE!!! Birds Of Paradise are a bit steep, but you can have a Cocoadile cry on them up to 3 times, so you are effectively tripling your output.

Well i buy a few orchids then use cocoadile tears three times and then each orchid is worth more than 1000 cc .
