What does the candary really do in the mine?

The wiki says it helps the Diggerlings find items, but I haven't found that to be the case. I see the same amount of production, the same amount of dirt, and the same items if I send in 4 Diggerlings, or 4 Diggerlings with 4 Candaries.

I have found in some instances the Candaries actually clog up the doorway to the mine and you get less production since the Diggerlings can't get in.

So what do the Candaries do? Any ideas?

Though I've never used them I had heard that they produce as much as a diggerling, perhaps it's that maximum production is worth four diggerlings? Try firing 2 diggerlings and replacing them with candaries and see if production changes at all. If it doesn't, you could save alot of money off diggerlings :lol:

I think it's one candary per miner. Everytime I see an extra candary fly into the mine, it immediately flies back out.

Yes, I have masks on all four. I don't believe candaries without masks will fly into the mine on their own.
