I am looking for a laptop. I just want your opinions about what laptop I should get. I want a laptop that is not overly expensive, but is worth the deal.

I advise staying far away from Acer; they don't seem to be capable of doing ANYTHING right. My Asus is eight months old and it's still working as well as when I first got it. My Acer Aspire 5100, on the other hand, had numerous problems by the eight-month mark. We really can't help you find something, though, without knowing what you're going to do with it. Gaming? Modeling? Internet browsing?

Lenovo is pretty good for gaming. My lenovo was only about 600 dollars and it can run the sims 3 on high setting with only a little lag. The only problem with my computer is that its really loud when it first turns on ,but aren't all computers like that?

I can find you some laptops that will easily suit your needs if you give us a price range. What I can tell you, though, is that Inspirons are business computers and have everything you don't need and lack everything you do need.

I was thinking of a XPS Laptop.

A) It's laptop. With a p. Unless you're planning on sitting it on a Labrador Retriever, that is.
B) One of these? (http://www.dell.com/us/p/performance-laptop-deals) Of those three laptops, I'd recommend either the $850 one or the $1100 one. Personally I'd pick the $850 laptop because it's more than enough for what I'd ever use it for and from the sound of things, it's the one you'd want as well.

OOps I must keep on pushing the "b" and just not thinking about it. For XPS maybe the 650$ ones? Are they good?

I can only find four XPS laptops on Dell's site (http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cat=prod&cs=19&k=xps+laptop&rpp=12&p=1&subcat=sys%2fnotebooks%2fxpsnb&rf=all&nk=f&sort=price&ira=False&~srd=False&ipsys=False&advsrch=False&~ck=Tanav) and none of them are $650. Do you have a link to what you're thinking of?

Of the 11 I see there, the highest price is $500... But that's somewhat irrelevant because they are all worthless. They all have integrated graphics--the LAST thing you will ever want.
I sifted through Newegg using $650 as your maximum and found a few laptops good laptops in your price range; one Acer, one Toshiba, and one Lenovo. The Lenovo looks like the best of all three (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246156) and will easily handle TF2 in the higher range of medium graphical settings.

I am not a computer kind of guy, it said that it had a 4 GB Memory. Is that it? Or am I missing something because that doesn't sound very big.
And also, how do you change the title of this thread, because I spelled it wrong...lol

The 4 GB memory would be the RAM (random access memory). It's where all the little bits of info you need while running a program go. The hard drive in the computer described is 500 GB HDD, a decent size.

You should be fine with that laptop.

Fixed :) (You need a mod to do it for you.)
