Twycross – 01 April 2011 – Rare is delighted to announce development of a new title for its Viva Piñata franchise.
Long-rumored in development, the Viva Kiñata title brings a new twist to the gardening simulation game. Craig Duncan, Senior Studio Director said: "The Kinect sensor lets us take the game to a whole new level. With Kinect, you are the piñata."
One tester of the game had this to share: "It's fun running around my living room, so Pester can't smash me open!"
Piñata Vision will also have a spot in the sensor-enabled title. "Have your friends over, and line up in a row. With Kinect, you are the barcode. We'll also be hiring moderators for VivaPinata.com, to let piñata gamers upload and share cards of themselves."
"Let's face it. Our Kinect Sports property is such a hit, we had to bring that feature to the romance minigame. Piñata gamers will have to hurdle over sours, box with Ruffians, and bowl with loathers, for a chance at romance."
Rare has also heard that James Thomas' magic wand is broken, and promises that it will be fixed in time for the new title, so the Giant Goobaa can once again reward gamers with famous pinatas.
