Audio editing

Does any body know of a good free audio editing softwear? I ask because I'm making a Halo Stop Motion and have a mic to use but Can't really do an Elite voice(Plus I have ideas for oices for my Mocs that I can't do)

Audacity would be your best bet.
You can change the pitch of your audio file as well, so it should suit your needs.

I stand behind the Audacity post. Better than just using Windows Movie Maker's options for audio. You can change the sound effects. (sounding echo-like, or listening to something play in a soup can) Plus you can reverse audio, change pitch... Etc etc.
