According to who? Do you have any sources that say that this is the case or is it just something you've said off of the top of your head?

Well Jnin, that would be great news, thanks for the link.

Zap657, I am quite aware that the Zach had said might, and I was simply asking if this was just an idea that he had thought of with that would be a nice feature or if someone 'in the know' had hinted or released a statement about this anywhere, before I got my hopes up and added this to my list of 'eagerly anticipated things', but thankyou for the lesson on semantics...

I am a she.

And a lot of us members from VPF have been thinking and hoping that the VP vrew would create that option. I have currently not heard anything from BIGsheep or the other developers though.

Ah, sorry zach3116, I had assumed you were male because of the 'Zach' part of your name, I had assumed it was short for Zachariah or something similar, my mistake.

I knew that many people would hope that a patch to allow visitors to gardens would be developed, and that would seem like a natural progression, I just wondered if there was any hint out there whether this might happen, or whether it was just something that was hoped for. At present it still seems like something close to hearsay, I look forward for a more concrete announcement that it to be due for release and has acquired all of the required licenses, etc.

It's ok Mimi. Its happened before =P Zach isn't even my name...Don't ask how I thought of the name Zach3116, lol.

I really hope they let other people go into your garden. That would be so cool. Kinda like Animal Crossing for Nintendo DS!

Yes, though to be honest I don't think that interactivity would be too much of a necessity in this instance, it would be good to have the option where you could allow people to be observers only - they have such an option in other 360 games - as this would mean that you could visit random gardens only to look around and see the layouts of many different gardens whilst the host would have the security of knowing that nobody could have a negative influence in their gardens - basically it would stop people from coming to your garden and whacking all of your pinata for sport.

A co-operative mode would also be a nice addition as friends could join and make a communal garden.

Animal Crossing DS's online capabilities were what took it that step beyond the Gamecube, and if the developers opened up the ability for players of Viva Pinata players to do the same here it would open up all kinds of possibilities.

I think that if you could do things in other peoples gardens, people would abuse that and might damage them. I dont see why anyone would do such a thing, but there are some slack people in the world.

I think that you should be allowed to enter peoples garden without permission, but they have to be on your friends list. And if you wanted to do stuff in someone elses garden then lets say its me and "Friend". Friend would be on my friends list and vice versa.
Lets say I wanted to enter Friends garden. Friend would have to be playign VP at that current time. I would then ask for permission to work on the garden. Friend would respnd yes or no.

That way you would have security that only peopel you trust will mess around in your garden!

aww a communal garden would be sweet... it would be like "our garden", not just mine...

and there should probably be two levels of visiting others' gardens... observing and helping
