recently i wanted to reinstall theorangebox on my computer because i had the computer fixed at geeksquad because of a virus problem(111 VIRUS'S!?!?)anyway they did a complete memory wipe and put everything back(sorta)but anyway the top disk thing won open and the bottom one only works for cruddy computer games.i have reinstalled theorangebox but it worrys me that it wont open....so how do i tell the difference between broken,jammed,or missing data and how do i fix it(PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!):eek:

If you're on Steam, then you don't need the disc anymore once its been installed once. Steam remembers your games and all its data, one you install it the first time ever, the disc is useless.

And to solve the disc drive not opening, take the drive out and go and buy a new one.

........uh-huh hey listen uhh the model for the harddrive is a dell dimension 4600.
and well i have no idea how to take it apart(i can take the side off but that wont help)so uhhh yeah..........also if it matters its black.........and i know i dont need disks anymore its with future games i need it for....so HELP!!!!!

You could check the (online) manual for your PC, which usually explains how to add or replace components. If all else fails, try calling Dell for technical support.

If you're completely stuck, take it to a local computer store, and pay them to replace the drive for you.
