I need help unlocking some of the tutorials...

Like the Sour Shellybean Hint,
Chewnicorn Hint,
and Happiness Hint.

Anyone know how to unlock them?

This is a Pocket Paradise (http://pinataisland.info/viva/Viva_Pi%C3%B1ata:_Pocket_Paradise) feature. The Nintendo DS game includes 10 episodes where you complete a mission for one of the TV show characters.

I'm going to guess that they unlock as events happen in the garden (e.g., appearance of a certain species, sours, Ruffians, pinata fights). 9 of the episodes are unlocked for me, so far, and all I've really been doing is earning different awards to level up (http://pinataisland.info/viva/Rank).

What level are you? Have you earned Appear, Visit, and Romancer awards for each species?

Did you check the Episodes menu (before you enter the garden) to see which episodes show up already?

Im level 6. Ive unlocked all tutorials before, but that was on the rental I used before I bought it.

I believe all the episodes will trigger just by playing through (completing) the game, so keep on earning awards. It might be related to a species you haven't resided or romanced yet.

When they do unlock, let us know what triggered them. We could add that information to the wiki.

I just completed the game (got all Pinatas including the dragonache and also got every award, so I reached 100%).

But I didn't unlock episode 8 yet.
I unlocked episodes 1-7 and 9-12, but not 8.

Does anyone know what kind of tutorial number 8 is and how to unlock it?

I could'nt find that info in the wiki.

I asked the same question before... But I can't unlock the Sour Shelybean Hint for some reason, but my friend unlocked it and he done almost the same as me. I guess you unlock them as you progress through the game, like the one when you 100% the game.

Well, I 100%ed the game and don't have them all, so that's not a solution.

They come up when you trigger certain events, the trick is finding those events.

I'm not saying you get them all 100%ing the game, I'm just saying there is one for 100%ing the game.

...But I can't unlock the Sour Shelybean Hint for some reason..

I finally found out how to trigger this episode!
It turned out that the shellybean episode was exact the one I was missing too (episode 8 ). So I started to experiment a little with my shellybeans and found the solution:

You have to deactivate the sour shellybean totem, so that sour shellybeans can enter your garden again. Then all you have to do is to break open a sour shellybean with your shovel, so that the game "thinks" you haven't found out how to tame it yet. Just as you break open the sour shellybean, the episode will start and teach you how to tame shellybeans and how to use them to get rid of weeds.

That's it! :D

I have all twelve (I think there are 12) BUT not in that way. I have all 11 on one file but the 12th one 'Varients' is on my other file

The episode 'sadness' is unlocked on level 6 when you are able to put a collar on your Barkbark

To get the chewnicorn hint, you have to first get a chewincorn resident. Same with other ones, some you unlock when the game gets to a certian point.
