Xbox 360 broken...but no Red Ring...

Okay, so, whenever I pop a disc in my 360, is just says, Open Tray. When I take it out and put it back in, it says Reading, then it says Open Tray again. Any suggestions or anything?

Do you only have the 1 xbox? no spare?

Your lazer has gone down on the dvd drive I think. (if you have a spare you could always try swapping the drive).

Bare in mind if still in warranty this breaks it.

If still in warranty log into your xbox.com account register your xbox if not already book it in with repair with Microsoft. (if its not in warranty its gonna cost you around £80 for any repair/ for Microsoft just to look at it. It's free if still in warranty and they will pick-up and drop-off to your door step.

Oops, sorry we're just going to get a new 360. It would be a lot faster to just get a new one, so people just ignore this thread...

Dont throw your old xbox - you could need it for repairs ;p
