Hey :) I got VP Pocket Paradise for Christmas and LOVE it, I'm at Level 5 but I now have lots of questions about various things so some help and input would be awesome!
1) I seem to always have too many Pinatas! So, I delete a species and it's house to make room but then I'll realise I need that one to attract another one, how do you find a happy medium for how many you have and what you keep and what you sell, how many species do you guys roughly have at any one time?
2) Is it just me or does the hippo require loads of room and water?!
3) Ivor: when he used to visit my garden he asked for money so I gave him money but now when I tap him it says he requires a sandwich and some other stuff, why can't I give him any money and why does he need this stuff, does he become some sort of resident?
4) How do I get medicine, bread and sandwiches?
5) Where do you guys learn all this stuff from! I didn't realise there was so much to this game until I started scouting around the net the info book really doesn't tell you much did you find it all by accident?
6) I only have one garden so far, should I open another one, what are the advantages of having more than one, can you move pinatas from one garden to the next?
Thankyou so much for any help you give me!:p

1) I seem to always have too many Pinatas! The wiki's species articles might be helpful in telling you if a species is needed to help meet another species' requirements. Check there first before selling something, to see if you may want to keep it around.
Also, you can use Gretchen to fetch more, if you got rid of residents that you actually still needed.
I tend to keep 6 or 7 different species around at most, but usually no more than 2 of each, except the ones I'm romancing for awards. Once I'm done with the awards, I sell them off.
2) Is it just me or does the hippo require loads of room and water?!
Yes, it does. Since you have to turn your garden into a (mostly) big lake, it's a good time to get the other aquatic species done too.
3) Ivor: when he used to visit my garden he asked for money so I gave him money but now when I tap him it says he requires a sandwich and some other stuff, why can't I give him any money and why does he need this stuff, does he become some sort of resident?
I won't spoil what happens. You can check out the Ivor article if you really want to know.
Anyway, he doesn't need any more money, so be happy about that :p
4) How do I get medicine, bread and sandwiches?
Answered in your other post. See the wiki's Transformation article. If you need to find answers, the fastest way is to search the wiki (e.g., try searching (http://www.pinataisland.info/viva/Special:Search) for bread or medicine) and you'd have discovered how to get them.
5) Where do you guys learn all this stuff from! I didn't realise there was so much to this game until I started scouting around the net the info book really doesn't tell you much did you find it all by accident?
At the start, when the game was new to everyone, most of it was trial and error, and as people discovered new things, they'd post details on the forum, or update the wiki. Also, a strategy guide (for Classic) was released. (Pocket Paradise is almost identical to Classic, but has a few new species.)
The wiki (http://www.pinataisland.info/viva/Main_Page) is this site's reference for all the Viva Pinata games, and has a wealth of information about Viva Pinata, including Pocket Paradise.
That's the best place to search, when you're looking for an answer.
6) I only have one garden so far, should I open another one, what are the advantages of having more than one, can you move pinatas from one garden to the next?
Since you can only have 3 gardens total on Pocket Paradise, and you're still new to the game, I probably wouldn't suggest starting another one at this point. You're going to want to save one garden slot to help with the most elusive of species.
But, yes, you can crate up pinatas and send them to another garden save.
Thankyou so much for any help you give me!:p
You're welcome.

Oh you absolute legend thankyou so much! This is everything I needed help with, I won't check the Ivor article I don't like ruining bits I'm steering clear of any threads above my level as I don't wanna know what happens! hehe I might do my aquatic animals now then as my garden does resemble a huge lake lol.
Thanks so much again I'll be staying around on the forum as it's super useful but you have got me everything I need for now :D

He'll ask for items after money. Just a couple of times, though.
4) How do I get medicine, bread and sandwiches?
Medicine -> I forgot... Bread -> Convert Corn (I know, it's weird) Sandwich -> Convert Bread
6) I only have one garden so far, should I open another one, what are the advantages of having more than one, can you move pinatas from one garden to the next?
Normally, it's for those who share their cartridge with someone else. I am the only one who plays mine, so I just us it to try different garden ideas once I complete on game.

lol, if you want to use something besides a doctor get a chewnicorn. But i wouldn't because they're slow and they'll only do it if they're on maximum happiness. Me and my friend had a squazzil party and we invited a sour macaracoon and the chewnicorn didn't like squazzils so we figured it out as our garden died.
