Glitched?

When whirlms come in my garden in this game, I either sell them or smash them. But lately, instead of them breaking into candy, they have been transforming into 2 baby whirlms. I'm not complaining, but it weird. Does anyone know why this is?

When you hit (breack) your whilm which is near a gate/enclosed in (dont know which) it will separate into 2 Whilms.
