I'm trying to do the Syrupent - Transylvania request, but I've sent him a Syrupent with full candiosity about 3 times. He still says that I did not finish the request. Does it matter that the syrupent that I'm sending is a desert variant? Do I need a regular one instead?

i did the exact same thing after about 5 times i just got a normal one and it worked

Yes, Desert Varient Syrupents seem to have trouble for fufilling the requirments of anything that requires Syrupents for some reason. Just send a normal Syrupent and it should work.

The same applies if you're trying to get a Macaracoon to reside. But I'm not sure weather they count or not if you're trying to get the Syrupent master romancer award...

I had the exact same problem. I think the game counts desert and arctic varients like it does for Flutterscotch varients.

I tried to blue raisant from the desert at least 10 times till i finally gave up and did a regular ant. The only good thing is that the desert ant is worth alot.
