Ok, so I got viva pinata pocket paradise (YAY!) and I'm already addicted, but now I've encountered a Jeli, and as resident requierment is says I have to Capture it?? Somebody plv help!!! thnx

I've seen him, but haven't figured that one out yet. He walks around the outside of garden... and at some random point he'll start to walk in. The moment you move the camera to bring him on screen he runs straight out of your garden and runs away. I kept trying to build fences around him to trap him, but he was too fast... and the one time I thought I had him contained he just walked right through the fence.

I tried using the Venus Pinata Trap, but nothing happened... I put out Peanut Butter, and he didn't seem too interested. :rolleyes:

I've now done everything in the game short of finding the jeli, without encountering the jeli, when he shows up does it come up with a movie sequence like with normal pinatas, or do you have to spot him manually?

also, I have the dastardos scarer and cutlass, idk if those will stop him coming, did you guys have either of them when you encountered him?

you have to spot it manually, just like Jimm said, I already tried capturing by building a fence round him, but that didn't work....

I don't think it requiers any plants, it just started showing up when I became gardener lvl 6, can sb confirm this?

In an interview with Paul from Rare (http://pinataisland.info/forum/showthread.php?t=9815), he said "you may need some friends to get all of them" when referring to the new species.

I never quite knew what was meant by that, but my guess was that it involved something with the wireless trading that is built into the game.

Does that give anyone any ideas?

the people who are finding jeli seem to be finding him almost instantly after he becomes available, and those who aren't have played for over 50 hours and got everything and still not found him, so maybe when you start a file, the game flags that file as either being able to find jeli or not, maybe a 1/3 chance of getting a jeli file, which would fit in with the "MAY need some friends" thing, because some people would be lucky enough to not need one from a friend's file.

of course this is all entirely speculation.

I can confirm that whacking the Jeli with your shovel works. It sounds crazy, but that's all it takes.

I'm stuck at 99.09% and this is the last pinata I need. I have all but 3 certificates (I know one of them that I need is Longevity Master).

I think you also need to be level 6 or so, but you're obviously way past that. There has been some speculation that only some gardens can attract a Jeli while others cannot. You may need to trade with someone else that has Pocket Paradise in order to get one.

I don't know anyone locally who owns this game. Too bad they didn't use Nintendo's WiFi service. Would've been nice to be able to get a Jeli from someone online.

I started up a second garden to see if it makes an appearance there, then I'll just send it to my first one if I do see it and can whack it in time. I'm still going to check my first garden every once in a while to see if it ever shows up.

For me he just started showing up when I hit 6th (I think) level. There is speculation that some people get the Jeli right away when they hit the right level and other people won't get him at all without trading with a friend.

I'm one of the few that suffer from having lost my Jeli from Dr. Pester... sadly right after have got my Jeli and at that point I didn't know that it was one per garden (or something like that). I'm trying to get a Jeli from another game now since now it's the only Pinata that I'm missing and I would love having my game at 100%.

My second garden is now at level 5 and no trace of Jeli and I could have swear that in my other garden I saw one way before level 6... I think I will try another garden... I have three slots after all =OP

I GOT A JELI in my second garden I can´t believe it.
He showed up almost immediately after I reached level 6 and at 40,13%.
He wanders along the edge of the garden and he is not mentioned on the board in the left corner of the top screen where it usually says "new appearance". So you really have to look out for him.

He always appeared shortly after midnight and disappeared at three o´clock. I tried to get him into the garden by not letting the light spot catch him, I watched him move at the exact edge of that round light that moves around with you at nighttime. When he put a step into my garden, I smacked him with my shovel and that was really all it took.
I did not switch any items with anybody before.

But now: how do I get a second one to breed ??? The hunter won´t get him for me. Will a second one appear ??? How did those who got one manage that ? The section "Visitor" doesn´t tell anything about it, there´s just a red cross.

To breed the Jeli you have to make a copy of your game and put them together on the same garden... using the boxes from Miss Petula's.

I guess I will try to raise my second garden to level 6... after have eat tough!

I reached level 6 on my second garden, so now I'm keeping an eye out for the Jeli. Does it show up as a "?" on the zoomed out map?? Or does the map not show you anything either since there's no "new appearance" alert for it?

I guess I'll really have to keep a close eye on the clock now too for when it's midnight to 3 AM.

No, the map doesn´t show you anything at all. Maybe that´s why a lot of people simply overlooked him at that time in the game ? I don´t know.

In my game, he always followed the same pattern, showed up from the middle left cave, took a round or two and disappeared into the same spot.

Hmmm, okay I can write down some things about my second garden, maybe it helps.
I have 60% tall grass, 10% water and 30%dirt.
I removed all the lights from the garden before I reached level 6 because I´m starting to think the Jeli might be scared of light.
I do have this thing that scares off Rufflians though (Captain´s something).
My garden is worth about 25.000 chocolate coins.
And I didn´t have to exchange items to get it.

Other than that, I really don´t know what it could be. My favourite is the light thing. He might love darkness.

Thanks a lot! I know that in my garden when I've got my Jeli I didn't have the Captains Cutlass or any other garden item... and let's see... 20% water, 5% tall grass, 0% dirt (dirt could have been under 5% if I was constructing a home) so 75% short grass. As for the pinatas, 1 I don't remember if I was already keeping my Pretztail and my Macaraccoon at this point but I think it was possible. I was breeding two other pinata species. I've never really looked at my garden worth so I can't say.

EDIT; I have my Jeli couple now =O)
level 6 they start to appear at night (12am to 3 am)
After that just trade between your gardens

to copy your game you have to go in teh option and you have the option to erase or copy saved games

Jeli appear the night between midnigh and 3 am... if he don't appear he don't appear after few night then your garden can't have him. The only way to get him now would be to make another garden and start new... unless you've seen him and own him you can raise another garden to level 6 and send the Jeli to your first garden

I can't believe but I have captured Jeli in level 7. I have been seeing him for what seems like forever. I really thought those posting saying to whack him over the head was pulling our leg, but it really worked. Then he just wandered around and was sad so I went a bought him a fez to wear. Seemed to help with his happiness. I even sent him off to a party when I was asked to send any two, but was very disappointed when he came back with just ONE romance candy. Keep trying guys believe me if I can get him captured you can too.

It's not possible to send to anyone over the internet anyway since Pocket Paradise doesn't use Nintendo's WiFi Connection. The game only uses local wifi, so you'd have to find someone near you who has a Jeli for them to send you one.

There aren't a Jeli in EVERY profiles, so if you're level 9, and still don't got one, try to make a new file. ;)

It wouldn't always appear at level 6, only for some. You maybe have to wait to level 8 before it will appear? Nobody knows. But if you're level 10, and you don't have it, you should try to create a new file, get a Jeli, and send it over. :)

Hmm... did you start each garden new, or were they copied? I'd have expected you might get lucky by your third new garden. Outside of starting a garden over, which isn't a guarantee and does take lots of time, the only other way to get one is to locally trade with a friend.

"Slot 2" (horstachio) is my original game at level 10/99,09%.
"Slot 1" (pretztail) now has my "started from scratch" game played to level 6 "Slot 3" (fudgehog) is a copy of my "level 6" game from "Slot 1"

No sign of the Jeli anywhere...

I don't know if a Jeli will appear for one of the slots, but if it didn't appear in your slot 1 game, making a copy of a game it didn't appear in probably won't change anything. Try starting slot 3 from scratch and see if that does the trick?

If you done a jeli to someone you'll get a certificate and you'll help the person finish the game 100%.

ive got this game on ds and ive completed it 100% but i have not go the jeli to apear certificate. i got it and romanced it and turned it into a varient. I know it says Night time to apear and i think if you pay off ivor the jeli goes:confused:

You're a bit hard to understad, sorry. The Jeli won't disappear if you pay off Ivor Beggar. And you can only get the awards for Jeli Romance, Master Romance and variant.

i got mine early in the game. he walked in and i hit him with a shovel. then i gave him the varient and he turned into an ugly red and yellow color. then near the end of the game a roario got into a fight with him and he died :( thats what happenes when you dont pay attention... :(

I've had a Jeli and then one of my other pinata's had a fight with it :(
When it first came into my garden I was level 6. On the overhead view it had a pink question mark in its place.

I've started the game lots of times in different slots and I still can't get a Jeli to appear! I've got no idea how it appeared last time - it was just wandering about during the night. Now I'm on 99.09% (in a different slot) and a Jeli is the last thing I need :(

I got a jeli but i dont know how I got it so heres what I had in my garden: when I got it I had 100% long grass, a rainbow,4 haybales,an apple tree,2 rashberrys,a rashberry house,5 mothdrops,a shellybean,and one horstachio. hope this helps (:

from what I,ve gathered, jelis like gems and rainbow gems but hate lights. If you wait at level 6 at night (from 12am to 3 am) it will come out of the cave and as soon as u see it go away because it'll get scared and run away but u have to know where it is. it doesn't show you on the info bar or map about the jeli. just make sure u have the captains cutlass and get your shovel ready to whack it as soon as it comes into your garden

It says in jeli pocket paradise requirements night-time in the garden but i check every night and i never see a jeli.
Im already on level 7.

Steps:
1. You have to be level 6 or better.
2. It has to be nighttime in the garden.
3. This huge blob with short feet and long arms goes into your garden.
4. Right when it goes into your garden, whack it with your shovel.
5. It will become your resident.
NOTE: There is only one Jeli per game file so if you want another Jeli to romance, copy your file with the first Jeli in it and send the second Jeli to your first file.

I know about all that, but there is this one question, does it matter if you whack a piñata, even once, before getting the Jeli? Because some sources say that if you do manage to hit a piñata before obtaining the Jeli, it won't appear... :\
