Thanks to my reasearch I found that Kimba and The lion king was copyed off the 1980's Classic King of The Jungle. I found a page of it.

If you want to make the argument that the Lion King copied Kimba, then this (http://www.kimbawlion.com/rant2.htm) page would likely be your best resource.
I don't really care either way in the matter. There are a lot of good shows/movies/books that are so-called "copies" of others...
If you want to get so technical with it, you could easily say both of them derived mild ideas from Shakespeare, what with a son exacting revenge for a father's usurpation and death... Hamlet, mon cher?

I love Kimba! I have a few of the episodes on DVD, and I loved the movie, but it was so sad towards the ending!

In all fairness, similar scenes happen in a lot of different movies (http://www.joblo.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-33314.html)...
Though if you will not the website I linked to in my last post, it contains a rundown of a lot of comparisons of Kimba to TLK... as well as a lot of related blurbs about how TLK was conceptualized as a remake of Kimba.
Draw your own conclusions... but similar/"copied" concepts do not automatically equal trashy or subpar pieces of media.
Look at the Eragon series... it's been cited by some as ripping off Star Wars and Lord of the Rings... but it's also hailed by many as a fantastic series.
The Lion King is cited as a Kimba rip-off or whatever... I don't know a kid that doesn't -- or didnt -- like TLK.
Johnny Test is thought by many to be a copy of Dexter's Laboratory with a few changes... look at how many people on the forum like it.
Just because it's a "copy" doesn't mean it's bad (:

I searched lots of old cartoons on Wikipedia one day and found this. I REALLY love the anime. I think it uses the same format for Astro Boy and Speed Racer, right? The whole story is the same as the story of the Lion King. Kimba is adorable!
